Hello again.
I woke up before Reyna did. I got out of bed and changed into some fresh clothes and brushed my teeth. It was early morning, probably before dawn. I sat back down on my bed, and saw that she was still fast asleep in her bed. She was certainly exhausted, because she actually snored slightly and hadn't changed positions at all throughout the night.
I reminded myself that it is generally considered creepy to watch people when they sleep, so I went outside for some fresh air. I mean, I don't find it all that creepy. Maybe because I'm descended from Somnus. It's not like it's a fetish or like I'm stalking someone. I just find it interesting how different people sleep. And I like looking at the things I find interesting. Unfortunately, Sebastian woke up in the middle of me watching him one time, and he told me I would never get married if a girl knew I was going that. And, well, he's right, and I hope to get married one day, so I know I better stop.
I sat on the ground outside my motel room. It was a bit of a weird blue outside, and some storm clouds still lingered a bit, so it looked a lot like the first Twilight movie actually. I will still never understand why just the one movie was shot with that filter. But then the door next to me opened, and Jason exited with his jacket wrapped around him, so I stopped thinking about Twilight.
He closed the door and looked at me. "You too?"
I nodded. He sat next to me, which was nice because he's warm. He brought his knees to his chest and rested his arms on this.
"Excited to see Cupid again?" he asked.
"No, not really."
"Same."
"I threw up last night."
He looked at me. "Are you sick?"
"Virally, no." I looked at him. "I'm gonna say something and I do not mean for it to be mean." He raised his eyebrows. "I don't think you have a single clue about life."
He burst out laughing, but quickly calmed down. "No, I do not."
"Thankfully," I breathed out. "I don't either. I think nobody does at our age."
"I doubt it gets any better soon enough." I frowned. "Seb's almost nineteen, and I don't think he has a clue either."
"Maybe that's just life," I admitted. "Maybe you just don't have a clue until you wake up one day, and you do."
"Maybe you don't have a clue, so you do stuff, and wake up one day and realize it all worked out."
"I hope."
The door to his room opened. Sebastian poked his head out. "Are we gameplanning?"
I shook my head. "Reyna's still asleep."
"Let's gameplan in our room," Sebastian decided. "It's cold as shit out here."
Jason got off the floor. "I'm gonna brush my teeth, then." He held a hand out and pulled me up. We parted ways, and I very quietly went back to my own room. Reyna was still totally conked out. I decided if she was still unconscious after eight, I would wake her up myself.
