Chapter 51

Scared or Terrified ?

   " Author's POV "

      The day went on as usual, Freen and Becky often texted each other, like updates. They called during lunch time because the older woman couldn't come home because of work.
         

       Night time came, it was nearly 8 o'clock when Freen left her company, it was dark.. heading to her private parking lot all by herself. She felt like someone was following her, she often glance around from time to time but everything seems pretty normal for now..

       " Lady Boss! "

     Someone called for her that made Freen startled at her spot. She turned around and faced the company's janitor, mr. reyes. He was a Filipino. Freen's father employed.

    " Oh.. " the word that left Freen's mouth, she was absolutely startled by him.

     " Good evening lady boss, I'm so sorry if I startled you " the man named Mr. Reyes apologized with a bow to show respect. Freen immediately stopped him from bowing because this man is much older than her so she had to show some respect too, of course.

    " No mister.. it's fine.. " Freen says with a questioning look. " You should go home now Mister.. it's getting late "

        Mr. Reyes just nods and smiles, Freen was kind of creeped out by his smile.. she don't know what to do but to just bid goodbye to the older man and proceeded to head to her sport car. While she was at her car's door not a minute after their small talk with the Janitor, the man was just standing there.. looking at Freen.

       The woman was terrified and sat at her car and drove to Nam's house.. she saw her phone with 15 missed calls from becky and neither one of the calls ringed or even vibrated. Freen was even more terrified right now but all she can do was to act like a man and be brave.

       The streets were dark, people were minimal. The buildings were still the same.. the road was absolutely strange, it wasn't traffic. The cars were strangely minimal.

      Freen looked around, not paying attention to the road. Suddenly she saw the same man from earlier walking.... Faster?

      Freen then accelerated the speed but then suddenly.

      *BEEP!!!!!!*

      A hard crash has been heard.

       Freen breathes heavily and deeply, gripping the steering wheel as she witnessed the huge accident in front of her. She sweats heavily thinking

         ' It's my fault. '

        Those words ringed inside her head.

   A huge truck collided with the poor car. The truck was supposed to hit Freen but somehow.... The car that was hit saved her.

       Fire spreading through those vehicles, shouting of people who came to help. Soon the ambulance came and took the injured... woman that's inside the car.

     But before they got the woman, Freen got out of her car and ran towards the ambulance.

      "Get out of my way!"

    She screamed as the people gathering gave her space and she ran just to see her savior.

      What she saw, terrified her the most. It was her... mom.. her mom saved her. If it wasn't for her... she could've been dead by now.
