Chapter 469

(I'm so sorry for this chapter... it had to be done for the story to continue...)

As the grab pack's hand shot out towards Catnap and made contact with a suit a scream was heard. Bitty Kitty and Sharp Charm screamed in unison as the two sacrificed themselves in order to save Catnap. Catnap watched in horror as Bitty Kitty and Sharp Charm were scorched in front of his eyes. "NO!" Catnap shouts as he had stopped his sleep gas from coming anymore, the push Bitty Kitty gave Catnap had caught him off guard, but as he turned around to assess the situation he was met with a terrible sight. Bitty Kitty and Sharp Charm were on fire... burning and screaming. Catnap tried to find a fire extinguisher to put them out, but he couldn't see one from where he was, Miss Delight ran off somewhere, and Catnap looked towards Frowny Fox who was frozen in place along with the Dogday prototype. "HELP!" Catnap shouts desperately to them to come help, Bitty Kitty and Sharp Charm's screams were heard throughout the entire school, the scientists didn't seem to mind the loss of mascots but a few did seem to panic and run out of the building. Catnap realized all too late what the scientists were doing, they were getting locked inside the school as it was burning down. Catnap panicked a lot as he kept hearing the screams of Bitty Kitty and Sharp Charm echoing in his head, he tried to block out the noise but to no avail. Miss Delight came back with a fire extinguisher and immediately blasted Bitty Kitty and Sharp Charm. It was too late... a fire was starting to spread and the extinguisher was running low. Bitty Kitty and Sharp Charm were put out, but that was also fetal for the two young mascots much to the horror of everyone in the school. "NO!" Catnap screams as he starts to pound on the door, Frowny Fox, Miss Delight, the Dogday prototype and Rich were starting to see no way out as the flames around them began to rise. "SOMEONE HELP US..!!!" Catnap screams at the top of his lungs. On the outside of the building though, he could make out the CEO patting a few of the scientist's backs and congratulating them. Catnap was shocked "this was apart of his plan..." he whispers, and runs to the back of the school along with Frowny Fox, Miss Delight, the Dogday prototype was carrying Rich's limp suit, and Hoppy was nowhere to be seen. Catnap started to panic 'had they gotten Hoppy, were they going to escape, Bitty Kitty and Sharp Charm... I'm so sorry...' Catnap has tears in his eyes as he and the others make it towards the emergency exit. "Almost there guys... we can do this" Catnap spoke with a determined tone as he sped up only to skid to a halt as the Dogday prototype let out a roar. Catnap turned around and seen the Dogday prototype got separated from Frowny, Catnap, and Miss Delight. Catnap heard the Dogday prototype howl with the mini critters screaming out in pain.
