Bobby, Bubba, Crafty, and Bunzo all were terrified to leave their spots they were rooted to. After what they'd all witnessed none of them wanted to move let alone make a sound, they all looked at each other in uncertainty as they weren't sure what to even do at this moment anymore. "W-What was that...?" Craftycorn asks after a while of silence. Nobody had answers though, they all decided to move on though, and hide away. "I-I don't want to die..." Craftycorn said in a shaky voice, Bobby and Bubba were in agreement about that, and Bunzo was just shaking badly. "I-I don't think we're safe anywhere..." Bunzo whispers catching the attention of the other three mascots "obviously you're right..." Bubba said as he walks with Craftycorn and Bobby both clinging to him. Normally he would be telling them that it's okay, but even he wasn't dumb enough to say that, especially since it seems they all knew that it wasn't okay. Bobby's eyes start to tear up a bit and Bubba notices but says nothing, he knew that crying was important so he just let her cry as much as she needed. Bobby crying caused Craftycorn to cry too, and soon followed by Bunzo. Bubba held back his own tears for a while, but even he couldn't help it, all four of them cried completely devastated and heartbroken by what they had witnessed. Their friend had turned into a monster, a ruthless monster who didn't care about them or their safety, Catnap, the Catnap they knew was gone... they weren't getting him back it seemed since he had already shown he didn't care for them anymore. By attacking Hoppy and Kickin' the way he did... it was obvious to them that Catnap had chosen to join the Prototype, and thus leaving The Smiling Critters forever. They wouldn't be able to stop him, not with what was going to happen, all they could do now is find a place to hide out and hope they're never seen by anyone again. Bunzo was worried though... he knew that The Smiling Critters were often seen as friends, and happily did everything together, but it seemed that this time.... they wouldn't be doing anything else ever again. "Guys..." Bunzo sniffles after a while of crying and letting their emotions out, all three Smiling Critters look at Bunzo expecting him to say something useful, but what came out of his mouth was anything but that. "I'm going to go find Mommy, and get help..." was all Bunzo said before he ran off, Bubba was going to go after him but Bobby and Crafty stopped him shaking their heads. "But he-he knows that Mommy Longlegs isn't on our side anymore, she's corrupted by the CEO" Bubba said with urgency in his tone, but both Bobby and Crafty refused to let him go "Bubba... we can't do anything now... we might as well try anything we can, even if it kills us in the process" Bobby explains with Crafty nodding in agreement. "But this-this wasn't supposed to happen, nobody was supposed to be hurt, we-" Bubba stopped his rant as Huggy Wuggy came to them. The Smiling Critters all backed up in fear not knowing what Huggy Wuggy would do. "What do you want?" Bubba demands, but it seems that Huggy Wuggy was just doing his part as he set himself on his stand and got into position. He raised his arm in a friendly wave and froze. Bubba, Crafty, and Bobby watched this seemly unnerved by the stillness that followed within the room. "Let's get out of here" Bubba said as Bobby and Crafty agreed following him out of the room. They walked for a while "I wonder what happened to Miss Delight" Bobby said after a while, and that caught the attention of Bubba and Crafty since neither really heard from her in a while. "I hope she's okay..." Crafty said as she claps her hooves together a bit nervously, Bubba nods but he kept a straight face as they all walked. "I hope that she made it out..." Crafty said with Bubba and Bobby agreeing.
Miss Delight was in the schoolhouse with her sisters, they all seemed to be doing their lessons, even though there weren't any kids in the classrooms, it was almost as if they weren't themselves anymore, just hollowed robotic shells of who they once were, Miss Delight was also one of those shells, but even she had some free will left. Her sisters didn't seem to have that anymore. She went from one classroom to the other and witnessed the same things happening, her sisters were all going over lessons they'd been programmed with. Miss Delight was a bit surprised though, these were all lessons they've already been over with the kids. 'Not good...' she thought about the way she was build vs the way her sisters were built. She had gotten different upgrades from the scientists than her sisters did. She's not sure why though, she looks towards her sisters one last time, but she was just confused on why... why was this happening not just to her but also her sisters.
The CEO watches the construction workers all getting everything build in record time, he was proud of the work. Of course he had taken all the credit for it, but he didn't need to tell them that, just because they built the place, it was him who had the vision of it all. He smirks as he watches the clock. 'Almost time...' he thinks with a grim expression on his face. He watches as the finishing touches were put in and he walked around inspecting everything. 'Wait, where did the orphans go?' he thinks as he realizes the orphans aren't there. He groans and goes to look for them, but stops as he sees that one of the orphans was in Home Sweet Home. 'Ah, that's where they all are' the CEO sighs in relief as he chuckles knowing everything's coming along perfectly. "Soon The Hour Of Joy will commence" he smirks and walks out of the Playcare and makes his way to his office to finish up some small things, such as cardboard cut outs, recordings, and even cameras. "Everyone here will have no idea what hit them..."
Mommy finishes mopping up the blood and immediately crawls into the ceiling to wait for the moment. She's not sure why she's so excited but it seemed to become more than usual. Of course she loves the feeling of always getting to see families together coming into the factory, but this time... it wasn't that feeling that drove her. She wasn't sure what it was, but she couldn't wait for the time she would get to see all the kids, the parents, the wonderful families again. "It's been so long..." she whispers and disappears into the shadows.
