Smiling Critters continues on...

Chapter 526

As Picky Piggy, Kickin' Chicken, Bobby Bearhug, Craftycorn, and Bubba Bubbaphant all made their way to the surface they all frown a bit. "Are we really doing this..?" asked Bobby hugging Crafty, Bubba sighs "we don't have a choice, we're being watched" Bubba said sounding a bit upset, but also trying to put on a brave front. "Who's watching us though?" asked Picky looking a bit paranoid. "Well, it could be the Prototype himself, or someone else close to him, maybe... maybe one of the lynx twins made their way up here..." Kickin' said a bit nervous. "Well whatever's watching us we shouldn't worry, just do what Lively said and we'll be okay" Bubba laughed a bit nervously, but he was at least trying to reassure his friends. They made it to the top and were about to step off the platform until a vent above opened and they all looked up with shocked expressions.

Small Frown hated being away from Shade and Gloom, but he knew he didn't have a choice, it was important he get the help they all needed right now, no matter what. He rushed through the vents, he whimpers a bit when he hears something in the vent in front of him. He freezes a bit in fear but realizes he's being dumb, he needs to keep going. He slowly makes his way forward, being careful to stay quiet as to not attract any unwanted attention. He looked through each vent to see where he was, but something caught his attention. He saw Kickin' Chicken, Bubba Bubbaphant, Bobby Bearhug, Picky Piggy, and Craftycorn coming back up to the surface again, and to his surprise they all seemed nervous. He knew this was his chance to get help, and he wasn't going to let it slip away. Small Frown opens the vent and looks down at the shocked faces of each of the five critters. "Small Frown...?" Craftycorn asks in a small voice, to that though Small Frown nods and jumps down to them. He tugs on Kickin's wing to get them to follow him, but to his surprise Kickin' just shoves Small Frown off. Small Frown looks up at Kickin' confused but Kickin' just shakes his head. "Not now... we have something to do" he speaks in a serious tone which takes Small Frown by surprise because the tone is something he's never heard from Kickin' Chicken before. "We have to go... you take care of yourself Small Frown" and with that Kickin' and the other four critters all walk off leaving the poor fox plushie alone. Small Frown starts to panic a bit, those were not The Smiling Critters he knew, they... they changed, and they'll change into something even worse. Small Frown realizes this and begins to chase after them to try and get them to either stop what they're doing or to help him, help all of them. He chases after them, but stops as they seem to walk towards the CEO's office.
