Chapter 499

The CEO kept thinking of his brother as he walked towards the large hatch with a few scientists on either side of him, and a bunch of security guards trailing behind him. One of the scientists was using a forklift to carry a large case that nobody had any idea of its contents, but the CEO knew what it was, and he was excited to see their reactions to what happens when something is placed inside. "Now we wait" the CEO said as he and his employees, and workers were all surrounding the large hatch waiting for the lift to return to the surface. The CEO looked down into the dark abyss and noticed that whatever was coming up was certainly very quiet. He readied his men and women in case there was some kind of threat that waited for them. "Get ready... they're coming" he spoke to his scientists and security guards as he watched the large crate being set down and face the hatch where the CEO was standing and leaning against the railing. "It'll be here soon... everyone get ready" he said as they all got on their grab packs, and pistols. As the lift slowly came up all the humans awaiting it were on high alert and ready for anything, or so they thought. The CEO's eyes widened a bit as the figures on the lift were finally revealed shown to be the remains of Dogday, the dead corpse of Mommy Longlegs, and Poppy who appeared to be asleep. Nobody moved for a while as they all looked at the three toys/mascots in front of them. "What happened to them...?" asked one of the scientists, but nobody knew the answer to that, and the CEO was even speechless which made them all that more unsettled at the sight. The CEO frowns, but he knew what he had to do. "Bring them to the lab, they will be getting their own upgrades with their new suits" the CEO said as he adjusted his tie trying to not look at the three in front of him. The scientists all began to walk over to Dogday, Poppy and Mommy Longlegs but the CEO stopped them "wait" he spoke in an authoritative tone which caused the scientists and security guards to halt immediately and look towards him. "Place Poppy into the crate" he said as his eyes narrowed towards the large crate that still sat facing him. The scientists all shrugged and started to make their way over to the crate as one of the security guards went over to Poppy and grabbed her picking the doll up, and examined the doll's features. "How are we doing this boss?" the security guard asked as he looked over at Elliot. "Just open the top of the crate and place Poppy inside" was all the CEO said as he watched the security guard shrug and walk over to the crate with Poppy in his hands. He pried the top of the crate open, and placed Poppy inside. After he did so he had gotten instructions to seal up the crate, and move the crate to Poppy's room. He nodded and immediately started the forklift back up and drove away towards Poppy's room. "Get the others to help you carry it, I know the forklift won't make it the whole way" the CEO called after the scientist who just gave a thumbs up and kept driving away with Poppy inside the wooden crate and whatever was inside with her.
