Chapter 496

Catnap's eyes are wide as he tries to stare off into the distance but he is able to feel everything the scientists are doing to him. His organs are splayed out for the world to see, and the scientists seem to be enjoying having Catnap awake to witness his own life being transferred into a monstrous form for the sake of the company's image. Catnap screamed out and had nearly forgotten about his poppy gas, he started to release it but the scientists were five steps ahead it seemed, they connected the remaining poppy gas from Catnap to use in his new form. "Don't worry about that Catnap, your new form will be able to hold even more poppy gas then ever before" the scientist says with a sinister smile. "I... don't want... it..." Catnap's voice broke a bit as the scientists ignored his pleas for the transfer to stop. It seemed the scientists were all fixated on doing a good job to impress their boss since unbeknownst to Catnap and Hoppy all the scientists were promised that they would get to leave the factory alive if they did this job correctly. They were all very eager to leave the factory alive so they agreed, despite knowing Catnap was a child before they still didn't seem to care. "Guys stop!" Hoppy was in tears as they watched Catnap's eyes trying to look anywhere but at his stomach, since he could feel everything that was happening to him already, he didn't need to see it as well. Catnap looked towards Hoppy with a fearful expression on his face, and Hoppy looked ready to sob uncontrollably, but it seemed they were holding back for Catnap's sake. "It seems that Hoppy doesn't want to worry you Catnap, so we're going to explain what we're doing to you, that way you're inclined to understand your predicament" the head scientist said as he started to gently take a bit of the flesh from Catnap's old suit and line the inside of his new suit with it. "Don't worry Catnap, you'll be fine" the head scientist tried to reassure Catnap, but it seemed his words weren't getting to the cat. "I'm sure you'll be fine at least" he chuckled darkly as Catnap yowls when he goes to poke his heart, the stinging and burning pain in Catnap's chest is almost enough to make his pass out, but sadly it's not enough to fully knock him out as his eyes roll in the back of his skull momentarily blacking out and returning to consciousness again. "We're not losing you just yet Catnap" said the head scientist with a smirk. "Guys just stop while you're ahead, please Catnap doesn't want this" Hoppy tries to make the scientists understand but it seemed their pleas fell on deaf ears as the scientists just continue to poke and prod at the organs in Catnap's chest trying to find while ones wouldn't kill him right away if removed. "Relax Hoppy... because you're next" the scientist's words cause Hoppy's heart to drop.
