Smiling Critters continues on...

Chapter 597

Catnap came bounding out of the doors with an angry yowl. Hoppy and Kickin' could see the anger in his eyes as he ran at them. Despite having a permanent smile like the two it seemed that Catnap was able to convey his anger through his yowling and screeching. Hoppy and Kickin' desperately needed to escape... so they tried to run, but their legs were too short as Catnap's long legs seemed to help him gain more speed and ground. Bubba, Crafty, Bobby, and Bunzo all looked on in horror as they witnessed Catnap attack Hoppy Hopscotch and Kickin' Chicken. "NOOOO!" Bobby and Crafty screamed as Bunzo hid his face in Bubba's stomach crying as the blue elephant held the yellow rabbit. "CATNAP YOU MONSTER!" Bobby screams as she does nothing but watch in horror as Catnap drags Hoppy and Kickin' away, both limp and unconscious. "Catnap..." Crafty whispers unable to forget seeing their own friend hurting their other friends. Bobby, Crafty, Bubba, and Bunzo were all speechless as the room was silent except for Bunzo's crying. Bobby and Craftycorn had tears in their eyes but they didn't even bother to wipe them away, Bobby fell on her knees in shock from what she witnessed, Crafty looked ready to ball her eyes out much like Bunzo was doing, Bubba was just as shocked but he was trying to be a rock for everyone, he waved his girlfriend's over and they all group hugged and shed tears at the memories that will haunt them for the rest of their lives...

Catnap did notice Bobby, Crafty, and Bubba all witness what he did, he felt remorse but he wasn't able to show it as he wanted, the Prototype was keeping him in line by having Boxy Boo on his case about what he should and shouldn't be doing. As soon as Boxy Boo gave him orders to attack his friends... he didn't have a choice as he ran out and attacked them mercilessly. If he didn't have the new suit he would've been shedding tears as he watched the horror in his friend's faces, Hoppy and Kickin' were crying and begging Catnap to stop, to have mercy, to forgive them for trying to leave him behind, but he knew that if he disobeyed then he would be tortured again... and he selfishly put himself first by attacking his friends knowing that it would please the Prototype, and satisfy Boxy Boo, who was also under the Prototype's control. Catnap drags his friends back into the factory, but he knew what he'd have to do now. He walks into the cells where Dogday was being kept and locks them up. "What did you do Catnap?!" Dogday screams angrily as he saw Hoppy and Kickin' both unconscious with a few wounds when Catnap passes by his cell. Catnap ignores him as he's done with so many others, he had a job to do, and he wouldn't fail it, no matter what it took, he would please the Prototype.
