Hoppy's heart sank as they watched Catnap fall unconscious again and again only to wake up a few seconds later screaming out in agony. "Oh don't worry Catnap, it's not all that bad" the scientists all laugh as the head scientist kept working on the transplant. "You'll be fully conscious throughout the whole procedure don't worry" as the scientist said this though Catnap looked at him in a daze. "I... don't want this..." Catnap pleaded to deaf ears as the scientists all ignored him. Each time Catnap would wake up back to the conscious mind he was face to face with his bones, heart, and the tweezers the scientists used to help with the transplant. Catnap was fully aware what was going on, but his mind was still slowly spinning as his body was beginning to shut down completely. "H-Hoppy... please... please tell all the other Smiling Critters... I'm sorry" Catnap spoke in such a quiet voice that Hoppy was glad they had big ears so they were able to hear Catnap's final words before he went completely limp as the head scientist had taken out his heart and his brain transferring them both to the new suit. Hoppy was crying silent tears, they didn't want the same fate, but they didn't want Catnap to go through the pain alone. 'Dogday would probably have gone first... just to spare Catnap... or any of the others' Hoppy thought with a single tear rolling down their left cheek mixing with their green fur. "The transplant is almost done, then it'll be you dear Hoppy" the scientists all seemed eager to cut Hoppy open 'but why?' thought Hoppy with a frown. As the head scientist finishes up on Catnap's new form he glances at Hoppy at times, seeing the bunny crying and looking so hopeless and broken brought the scientist great joy. "Don't look so upset little Hoppy, you'll be fine" as he said this Hoppy got confused "what do you mean?" Hoppy asks. "Well... you won't be conscious through the procedure, we only made Catnap go through the procedure awake and aware of everything because it was our best bet to getting out of here alive" as the scientist said this Hoppy looked at him confused. "Best bet to getting out of here alive..?" Hoppy questions as the head scientist nods "yes, you see Hoppy, we were all told by the CEO that if we did this whole thing fast and efficiently then we can all go home alive and see our families again, as long as we remain silent about all that goes on in this factory" as the head scientist said this though Hoppy looked at the scientist with disgust. "You all are selfish..." Hoppy said in a very angry tone, but the head scientist merely rolled his eyes with a smile. "You realize that he's lying to you guys, right?" Hoppy tried to reason with the scientists but it was no use at this point, they all believed the CEO about leaving the factory for good, but none of them realized that their lives wouldn't be leaving the factory... ever.
