Since the news of them making it into the Semi-finals of the Champions Academy Leauge, Uno and Denise decided to stroll around the park for their picnic.
The things they brought for their picnic were their food, the blanket, a suitcase that housed Uno's spare blue suit, and Uno's guitar.
"So, found a place for us to enjoy?" Uno asked his girlfriend. "Well, maybe that tree right there. Looks comfy for us right?" She asked as she pointed to an old tree.
"Sure why not. I'm getting peckish anyways so, come on, let's go." Uno said as he dragged Denise's hand to the tree.
Once they reached the tree, Denise began setting the blanket, while Uno fixed the placement of his suitcase, fixed his necktie and prepared his acoustic guitar.
As they finished fixing up their picnic, Uno sat his guitar by the trunk of the tree and sat close to Denise.
"So, which first? The sandwich, the music, or us making out?" Uno asked Denise as she just blushed at the option of making out with him.
After Denise composed herself, she decided that they should eat before going into their picnic activities, they even set up a tent so that they can star gaze.
"So, you brought the painting stuff?" Uno asked as his was midway through his sandwich, Denise nodded. "Yep, I brought it in your suitcase. At least it has the divider thingy." She said as she smiled and took a bite of her sandwich.
As they finished eating, their conversation to their teammates from Hypower, from the first time from Denise joined, to them winning the pre leauge.
Soon, they decided it was time for painting, they scouted which thing to paint before settling on painting the other.
Denise picked up the shades of blue for his eyes, his suit and hair, along with green for the tuft on Uno's hair. Uno did the same by grabbing some of the darker blues, brown for her hair and yellow for her eyes.
"Alright, let’s see who finishes first," Uno teased as he dipped his brush into the brown paint, glancing over at Denise with a playful grin.
"Oh, it’s on!" Denise laughed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She began to carefully outline Uno’s sharp jawline, her concentration evident as she tried to capture every detail.
As they painted, the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the park. Denise took a moment to appreciate the view, her heart swelling with contentment. "This is perfect, isn’t it?" she murmured, glancing at Uno.
"It really is," Uno replied, his gaze softening as he looked at her. "I couldn’t ask for a better day, or a better person to spend it with."
Denise blushed at his words, her heart skipping a beat. "You’re so sweet, Uno. I’m really lucky to have you."
Uno reached over, his hand gently brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "I’m the lucky one, Denise."
They continued painting, occasionally stealing glances at each other, their connection growing stronger with each brushstroke. After a while, Uno set his brush down and picked up his guitar, strumming a few chords.
"How about a song?" he suggested, his eyes twinkling.
"Yes, please!" Denise exclaimed, her face lighting up.
Uno began to play a soft, melodic tune, his voice blending perfectly with the notes. Denise watched him, completely mesmerized by his talent. As the song ended, she leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips.
"That was beautiful," she whispered, her forehead resting against his.
"I’m glad you liked it," Uno replied, his voice tender.
