".. No, absolutely not!" Daryl scoffed, shaking his head, "Ain't no way in hell my brother is talking to that asshole in the barn."

The group was all in Hershel's living room. Apparently, Randall only wanted to speak to Riven, no matter how much Daryl tortured him.

"I think your brother is old enough to decide for himself." Shane spoke, turning to look at Riven, who was leaning against the wall next to Beth and Jimmy, Beth's boyfriend.

Riven chuckles, "Oh, were you old enough when you decided to go bald?"

Beth and Jimmy chuckle quietly, and Shane glares at him,

"Those jokes are getting old." Shane told him, and Riven crossed his arms over his chest,

"My brother ain't deciding shit. He ain't old enough yet." Daryl spoke, glaring at Shane,

"I say he is." Shane argued,

"Can you two stop speaking as if I'm not here? First, of all, nobody makes decisions for me," Riven throws Daryl a look, "and you," he looks at Shane,

"Ain't my dad, so fuck off. I'll talk to this guy, and I'll gladly give him another wound if he tries anything." Riven pushed himself off the wall.

"Rick and I will be inside with Riven." Riley spoke up, and Daryl scoffs, and Riley throws him a look,

"Rick and I are the best options. You and Shane will most likely beat the kid up before he gets the chance to speak." Riley told Daryl, who shook his head.

"He's right," Rick spoke up, "We'll make sure nothing happens to Riven."

"I can handle myself, you know?" Riven told them, glancing at everyone, but his eyes stayed on Daryl,

Daryl stares back at him before huffing, and he turns to Rick and Riley, "he gets hurt, I'll kill ya both of you."

Riven chuckles under his breath, "Brother of the Year award goes to daryl. Yay." He sarcastically clapped his hands before rolling his eyes and walking out of the house.

The door creaked shut behind him, and he walked down the porch steps as the door creaks as someone opened it and walked out, Riven knew who it was without needing to turn around.

"Hey, wait, let me talk to you." Daryl caught up with him, and Riven sighs,

"There's nothing to talk about." Riven replied, and Daryl scoffed, stopping Riven from walking away, and Riven turns to look at him,

They were a few feet away from the house, near the cars and tents.

"Yes, there is, and look, we both ain't good with our emotions, and talkin' about our feelings and shit like that." Daryl told him, and Riven chuckles,

"Oh, yeah? What gives you that impression?" He asked, shaking his head,

"Is this because you overheard me talkin' to Beth? Look, you're my half brother, you aren't obliged to care about me or pretend, alright? I definitely don't need your shit piling on the shit that I'm already dealing with." Riven told him

"I ain't pretending to care about you, I do. I do care about you, and hell, at first, I hated you because dad was trying to be a dad to you, and I thought, why couldn't he try to do with me and Merle?" Daryl spoke, confessing, trying to make Riven understand that he does care.

"Then dad started treating you like he did Merle and I, and I felt glad, but then I felt like shit because I was supposed to be your brother, I was supposed to protect you, instead, I did extacly what dad did." Daryl told him,
