79. I Hate You

Your eyes fluttered open as they adjusted to the sunlight. You felt Katsuki's arms wrapped around you.

He opened his eyes too when he felt you shift. He saw your face in front of his. "Hey." He croaked and gave you a lopsided grin.
"Morning." You smiled at him and tried to pry his hands away from your waist so you could get up.

But he just tightened his grip further and pulled you into his chest. "Katsu.... What are you doing?" You asked.
"No." He mumbled.
"I need to pee." You said.

He clicked his tongue and loosened his grip. "Love you." He said and leaned in for a kiss. But you dodged him. "I love you too but your breath stinks." You said.

He glared at you and pulled you back into his chest. "Katsuki!" You tried to get away but he wouldn't let you.

"Let me go!" You said. He placed his hand on your side and jabbed you in the ribs. "KATSUKI!" You yelped. He smirked and did it again. You giggled as you squirmed in his arms. "St-Stop it!" You cried.

After a while, you managed to pin both his hands down and get away from him. You stood up.

But just then, your phone began ringing. You picket it up.

"Hello?" You said. "Oh sure! I'll be right there!"

"Who was it?" Katsuki asked.
"Your mother. She needs help with something. I'll be right back." You exited the room.

Katsuki groaned. He had really been hoping to spend some time with you in the morning.

A few minutes later, he heard a loud crash coming from his house. What the heck?

He scrambled out of bed and ran downstairs and back home. But the second he entered through the door, his heart dropped.

"Y/N!" He screamed. You were on the floor. His parents were nowhere to be seen.

He rushed to you and cradled your body. "Y/N! WHAT HAPPENED?" He tried to shake you awake but he froze.

"Y/N.....?" He pulled his hand away from your chest. It was soaked in blood. There was a bullet hole in your chest.

He screamed. "NO! NO, Y/N!" He felt your hand, hoping to find a pulse but....there was none.

Who.... Who had done this?

Just then, he heard an evil cackle. He whipped his head around.

A man walked in. Stupor. "Stupid hero." He said. "YOU!" Katsuki roared. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER? Y/N! Y/N! WAKE UP!"

He held a gun in his hand. "There's no point. She's dead." Stupor said. "She's dead because of you."

"No. She's not dead! She-"
"You were too weak. You couldn't protect her. Too much of a coward!" He spat.

"No! I'm not weak! I can protec-"
He scoffed. "Stupid little Katsu. Don't you see? You couldn't protect her when I killed her parents. You couldn't protect her from nighteye. And you couldn't protect her in the mountains either. You keep failing time and again."

"I took a bullet for her!" He retorted. There were tears streaming down his face at this point.
"Oh? And what did that actually do?" Stupor asked. "If she hadn't been able to fight me, then what?"

"I...." He pursed his lips. "She's- she's not-"

Your eyes opened. "You couldn't protect me, Katsu...." You said. Blood spluttered from your mouth.

He flinched away. "Y/N...-"
Your bloody hands cupped his face. "Why, Katsuki? Why did you let me die?" Tears streamed down your face.
"I didn't-"
"Your so weak....."
"You're right...." He said..
"Katsuki-"
"I'm sorry....!" He cried.
"KATSU!"
"I'm so sorry!"
"KATSU!"
"I can't save you. I'm too weak-"
