I'm looking at myself in my full-length mirror, making sure that I look perfect for what's going to happen tonight. Mike opens my door and I can see him through the mirrors reflection. "What do you think?" I ask.
"You look amazing as usual. Now can we please go? I've been waiting for you for over two hours." He whines, making a pouty face, and I turn to face him. "You know beauty takes time and you can't rush a star girl." I say, walking towards him, bag in hand and ready to go.
"Yeah, whatever. I know we've been through this a thousand times." He says rolling his eyes. Mike and I have grown even closer since half a year ago. He's my best friend and I love him more than anything in the world.
We did indeed become that dangerous duo Sarah and Natalia tried to warn us about a long time ago, oh well it's too late now. I make my way out of my room and down the stairs, knowing that Mike is going to follow me. Once I get downstairs, I see my brother and his girlfriend Alana.
I've always liked Alana. She makes my brother happy. She brings out the best in him, she sees him something that our parents never did, my brother is leaving to go to the best rugby college that there is. I'm going to miss him because he was there for me always.
But he has to live his life and I'm not going to hold him back I refuse to. "Heading out already?" He says, looking at the TV, an arm around girlfriend's shoulders as they sit on the couch. "Already it's been like three hours of her getting ready. You can't be saying that." Mike says, completely shocked. "Well, you can't rush my sister." Joey says, smiling to himself.
"See." I say, turning to Mike with an innocent expression. "Are you serious right now? You're not going to trick me into thinking that three hours isn't long." "You'll be ok Mike I promise, stay safe and have fun." Alana says.
She's so beautiful and mesmerizing, she's amazing in every way. I'm really happy that she managed to find my brother and save him, because when I was hurt, he was hurt too.
He thought it was his fault but it wasn't. Not at all. I turn to the door and make my way out and Mike follows me. I don't have to worry about whether the party has really started or not because the party doesn't start until I walk in.
