Chapter Eight

Azania

When Mike told me that Nick got the same message as the rest of us I was so furious he couldn't just let this one thing be ours after leaving for so long although it's not even his fault I just don't understand why he's still here I mean he understands my feelings towards him so why doesn't he just leave. "Hey Azania are you ok?" Mike asks me.

"Yeah I'll be fine" 'it's you it's always been you' an old man is staring straight at me wide eyed and repeating the exact same thing he seems so pale almost death like. I stop walking and just stare back at him. "Hey" Mike shakes me and I turned to look at him. "Are you ok? Are you sure that you're alright you look like you just seeing a ghost" Mike says and I look to see the old man but he's gone. "Yeah I'm fine" I lie.

I have no idea what's going on. "We should hurry up the others are probably waiting for us" I say as an excuse to get the hell out of here. "Yeah, alright sure" Mike says but he still looks concerned like he doesn't quite believe that I'm alright.

"Something just doesn't add up about Emily running away it doesn't make any sense she wouldn't do that." Mike and I met the others at the coffee shop and now I'm yapping about Emily's disappearance I just can't get over the fact that she's gone and I didn't even get to apologize to her for what I did.

"You're right something doesn't add up Emily would never do that but the police assured everybody that they're on the lookout for her." Sarah assures me or at least tries to. "I know that the police are on the lookout for her but I don't trust those assholes they do nothing, plus I haven't seen any of them on the lookout for Emily or patrolling the area I haven't seen any at Emily's house talking to Emily's parents what exactly are they on the lookout for?"

"So what are you suggesting?" Nate asks reading right through me. "I think that we should solve this mystery on our own I mean we know Emily best, we've spent so much time with her it's only right that we do this for her she would do the same for all of us" "You're right but we're no police and we're not detectives" Grayson says.

"That much is true but we do have Sarah who is the best stalker you'll ever meet, Nate who can hack into anywhere, Natalia, Sky and Mike are basically emotion readers and then we have you Grayson who's basically a lie detector and me of course who can solve any puzzle or riddle anybody throws at me, we can do this."

"I don't know I think it's best that we stay out of the police's way." Sky says seemingly a bit nervous at the idea. "This is Emily we're talking about our best friend Emily we can't just sit back and relax while the police are 'doing their job' if I have to get in their way I will." I say. "One more thing before we continue this little idea of yours, we're not the only ones who got the message from the unknown number someone else did too" they all turn to Mike in surprise.

"Really? Who?" "Nick Smith" "You're joking right?" Sarah says hoping that maybe just maybe he is. "No he's telling the truth." Grayson says. "Yep I sense no deception." Sky says. "Seriously why did it have to be him out of everybody in the entire estate." I say. "I mean just because he got the message doesn't mean that he needs to be included in this right?" Natalia says. "No unfortunately that's exactly what it means." Nate replies. this can't be happening. just then we all get a notification on our phones.

Unknown: having fun trying to figure things out you have until the end of the year, I will kill you all if you don't find the truth about this estate by then.

"Well now it doesn't look like we have much of a choice" Mike says and he's right we don't have a choice. "I mean if anybody would have a secret so big that it affects the entire state it would have to be Steyn." Sarah says. "You're right what if X picked the people he knew would be able to solve this mystery all of us have unique skills that nobody in the else in this estate has so what if we need to work together all of us including Nick." Sky says.
