Azania
I've made many mistakes in my day, sleeping with Nicholas might have been one of them, but then again, I was never really good at making decisions either way. I have to admit, I was surprised when he figured out the little riddle that I gave him.
Although I do hate the thing that he's done with every fiber of my being, for some reason my stupid ass can't hate him. It doesn't mean that he's off the hook, but I don't hate him.
He still needs to make up for all of the things that he's done, that's true but when everything said and done. I'd be willing to see that he loves me.
The worst part about all of this is that waking up next to him feels so right, like I was meant to be here in his arms where I felt safe with no nightmares. But besides all this, we need to figure out what we're going to do next of Aurora's case.
Someone committing suicide was something completely out of the ordinary. I mean, only a psychopath would do that, right? Jumping off of a cliff and declaring your love to the person before you did it that's got to have some psychological effect on someone.
But I think I know what we should do next and based on my phone buzzing on my night stand, it seems like Mike knows too. Which means that he is going to be here and I need to be ready when he is.
"I need to get up." I say, trying my best to pry his arms away from me, but all effort was lost. There was no way that I could escape him unless he was willing to let me go. "Good morning to you too, Mastermind." He said in a sleepy voice, his eyes opening slightly.
"Great, another nickname." He smiles at me. "I think this one is perfect." He says our face is inches from each other. My hair is all over the place but he doesn't even seem to really care. "I need to get up and get ready before Mike gets here and you need to leave."
I say, trying to break from his arms again, only for it to be useless. "Why are you getting ready?" "Because we're going to go and check out the cliff that that Coraline Fitz jumped off of." "Do you really think there will be any useful information there?"
"Well it's worth a shot and it's all that we've got, so yes I do." "Isn't that place restricted?" "Yes, but we won't get in trouble if nobody knows." "If we get caught we'll likely be thrown in prison." "Well then, we just won't have to get caught now won't we?" He smirks at me.
"Now let me go so that I can shower and get ready. Mike will be here at any minute." "Fine." He finally lets me go and I managed to scramble myself off the bed, still naked. But that doesn't really matter to me. I hop in the shower and switch it on.
To my surprise, when I head downstairs, I smell breakfast. "What the hell is going on here?" Nicholas is making pancakes. Dressed in yesterday's clothes, which are most likely damp right now.
"I'm making breakfast. I was hungry." "Make yourself at home why don't you?" I say sarcastically. "I personally am not complaining about this change." Mike says from behind me. Of course he's here, he's always here, but I'm not really complaining. I roll my eyes and turn around.
"He's taking after you." I say to my best friend and he puts his hand on his heart and pouts, faking being hurt. And then gives me a smug expression. "I may be hurt by your words, but I take it as a compliment really."
He says and heads off to the breakfast table and sits his ass down like he owns the place. "Any more surprise guests I should know about in my house?" I ask. "Well, Sarah should be on her way with Sky and Natalia." Mike says. "Alright then I guess we'll wait for everybody to arrive."
