I stand on the edge of my bed looking at the dress that I picked out for the ball. It's the opposite of what I would wear in every way, and that's what makes it perfect. If the assholes at the ball want to keep Aurora's back story a secret then I will make them look her in the eye.

I will make them look at their sin. Once I put the dress on, I was surprised. I wasn't looking at myself in the mirror, I was looking at her. I'm wearing a dark pink off shoulder gown with long white gloves. and a white mask. It didn't cover my whole face.

Once I stepped out of the room to greet the girls, they were floored to say the least. They asked me why I picked such a dress when I usually wouldn't and I told them to just wait and see. We met the guys downstairs and then all headed to the ball.

It was being held at Steyn's House, which was perfect. I had a plan in motion and I told the others about it. They said it was the best plan that I could have ever come up with. "So is everything set in motion?" Nate asks me from my earpiece.

It's very well hidden, you'll barely even notice it. I was just stepping inside when he asked me. "Yes, I'm heading inside now. All the attention will be on me, so you guys need to make sure that you can sneak around properly and carefully." I say.

Just as expected, as soon as I stepped into the ballroom, all eyes were on me. Some faces paled, some faces were filled with curiosity. But all faces shared the exact same look that was indefinite.

They knew who I was trying to be, and for a split second they are probably convinced that I rose from the dead. Steyn's House was set straight in the middle of the estate and so naturally it was huge. The biggest house in the estate.

I wouldn't even call it a house, it was more of a castle with how big it is. Naturally, I was greeted a lot, but not many approached me. They gave me glances and I heard whispers, but not many people wanted to actually talk to me.

That's how I knew it was working. I had everybody's attention. "Well, this is interesting. Now I know you definitely found the photo that I wanted you to see in the library." Someone says from behind me, and I turned around to see that it's the mystery dude from the last ball.

"I know it's very odd, I usually never step foot into a library, but congratulations, you were the first person who actually made me." I say. "Yes, well, we all need to step foot into a library eventually." He says. Holding a drink in his hand, by the looks of it, it's whiskey.

He's wearing a black suit and he has dark hair and dark blue eyes. He's extremely good looking but not my type. "I never caught your name." I say. "It's Ford. Ford Astor. And before you ask, yes, I was named after Steyn." "I wasn't going to ask that, but I bet you many people do."

"If I had a dollar for every time that happened, I'd be even richer by now." He says with a chuckle. "Wow, I just wanted to say thank you for helping me." "No thanks needed, you practically demanded it from me." "Well, I had to get information somehow."

"Yes, I'm sure." A man behind me cleared his throat, and I turn around. "Yes?" I say he's an old man, probably around the age of 50, Gray hair, wrinkly face in a suit that's just a little too small for him. This is going to be interesting.

"I find it very inappropriate that your wearing that dress and who you are trying to be." He says in the clipped tone. "And who exactly am I trying to be?" I say with an innocent expression, but there was a bit of bite to my tone that he obviously didn't like.
