Klaus

I keep tossing and turning but nothing helps. I haven't seen her in months and it's killing me. I love her. I can't deny it anymore. From the moment. I saw her when we were swinging on the swings. I knew that deep down I love her even back then.

She finally tells me that she loves me back, only to disappear. I know that she's in the estate, she's locked up in her house. But I have no idea why and that's killing me too. So I get up, put my shoes on and jump out my window. I start light jogging so that I get there faster.

It doesn't take me that long, although I'm a little winded. When I finally make it, I climb the fence unnoticed and go the same route I went all those years ago. I end up in the backyard. The swings are gone now. But the memory is still here.

I look at where the swings used to be, and then I finally noticed that Anna is running to me at full speed, tears streaming down her face, sobbing uncontrollably. "She's, she's dead. They killed her. They killed her." She's sobbing out of breath.

Trying to take in air as it's rushing out of her lungs. She keeps on repeating the same thing and sinks onto her knees. I bend down towards her. "Killed who? Anna, What are you talking about?" I say, trying to understand her as best I can. "Aurora. He- Silas. He stabbed her."

The words that she says is like a stab to the heart. Pain is searing in me. "Anna listen to me, you need to run. You need to get out of here and you need to run far away from this estate." I tried to tell her as calmly as I can. She lifts up her hands. And that's when I see a box that's full of cash.

I recognize that box Aurora's letterbox. "She gave this to me before she ran out. I think she knew she was gonna die. She risked her life for me." "Go. Leave." It's all I say in a firm voice so that she gets the hell out of here as soon as possible.

"I can't just abandon my sister. She's my blood, she's my everything." I stand up. "Leave Anna, I mean it, leave this life behind and never look back. Do you understand me? Never look back, leave it all behind and run away as far as you can and as fast as you can."

Then I walk up to the house. To her. As soon as the back door closes behind me, I start sprinting around. It's like a maze that doesn't end. I go into a dozen passageways before I end up finding her lying on the floor in a pile of her own blood, stab wounds all over her.

She was pregnant. I ran straight up to her and kneeled down beside her. "Hey, baby." I say my voice breaking at the words, seeing her face. Covered in her blood. I'm cradling her in my arms, my clothes getting soaked. She slowly lifts up her hand, just barely.

Touching my knee. "I love you." She says, her voice barely a whisper. But I hear it. hot tears are streaming down my face. "I love you too, most in the world." Then I kiss her forehead. I lift my head up and feel a searing pain shoot up my back. I look to see that it's Steyn.

Before I can stand up, he shoots me again. Repeatedly. I fall down to the ground right beside Aurora. I close my eyes and feel my blood being drained from my body. It mixes with hers. "In another life." I say to her. "In another life." She says back to me before her eyes go cold.

I was waiting for death to take me, but it never came. Instead, I hear Steyn's footsteps retreating. That's when I decide I'm going to bring Aurora justice. I wish that I could die by her side. but It seems no matter how long I wait, I won't die. I need to live to end our story the right way.

I will never ever rest until she has her justice. I manage to crawl out of the house and into the bushes. It's not easy with all of the bullets still inside of me, but I managed to crawl back to safety. It's better that I hide in the shadows from now on.

Someone spots me and takes me to the hospital. But after that I disappear off the face of the earth. I stay in rusty places that nobody knows existed. I know this place from top to bottom like the back of my hand. I move around so that nobody sees me or catches me.

They won't notice me, but I notice them. One day I see the most unbelievable thing. I see myself. A younger version of me. With the girl that looks exactly like Aurora. It's us, but it's not. They're sneaking into the lagoon.

They don't seem to know each other based off their body language, but that doesn't stop them. They're perfect. She's perfect. A carbon copy of the love of my life. From head to toe. She's going to be my Mockingjay.
