Chapter Fifty-Four

Nate has cracked the code and just in time, Azania and I pull up to her house where everybody is. As soon as we step foot into the house, the girl's hug Azania tight and ask her why she did what she did. She gave the exact same explanation to them that she did with me.

Now we're all sitting at the dining table. "So. You cracked the code, now what?" Azania asks. "Now we look at the flash drive." Nate says. We're all staring intently at his laptop. Then a home screen finally pops up with a couple of files.

"Oh, and by the way, I found out that Aurora was pregnant and that her lover's name was Klaus." Azania says. "And you only telling us this now?" Natalia says. "Sh We have to see what's on the drive."  Azania clicks a file and a security video shows up.

It looks like it's the surveillance in the house the night that Aurora died. "Holy shit this is gold." Azania says. We all watch. It starts off pretty normal. Steyn is in his office, Aurora is in her room laying down on her bed with a belly visibly showing, and her sister Anna is sleeping in her room.

There seems to be no one outside of the house. Steyn is talking to his second hand in his office. "Is there a volume button?" Lasagna asks. "Yeah, hold on, give me one second." Nate says. Then he clicks on the increase volume button.

"You lied. That I would have a virgin bride. That is what I was promised. That slut is pregnant. She's ruined."  "Calm down, Silas." Aurora appears in a different camera outside of her father's office, eavesdropping on their conversation.

"My eldest daughter may be a slut, but my other one is perfect." Aurora puts her hand on her mouth, shocked at what her father is saying. "I guess I can settle for that deal, but I expect to marry her within this year." Silas says.

Aurora quickly runs away and disappears from the camera's view. Silas and Steyn seem to hear her footsteps, so they immediately open the door and go after her. Aurora is back in view, the camera just outside of her little sister's room. She quickly enters.

And wakes up her sister and hands her a box. But unfortunately, by that time Steyn already knows that it's her. So they're waiting for her at the end of the hall. I don't think he knows that she woke up Anna. "What do you think you're doing?" Steyn says.

"You can't do this to her. You can't force her to marry the disgusting old man. You can't be serious. She's your daughter. I'm your daughter." Aurora says. Through her teeth, looking at her father like he's a stranger, tears soaking her face rapidly.

"You are no daughter of mine and Anna will marry him. He is my second hand and he's actually loyal, unlike you prowling around with some boy." "I was not prowling around with him. I love him, I always have." Steyn slaps Aurora across the face.

And she tumbles backwards, landing on her butt. From behind Aurora, Silas does the most unthinkable thing and he stabs her in the back. She screams, but he keeps going, Steyn isn't doing anything. He's just looking down, watching the scene happen.

Silas does it again and again and again, stabbing her everywhere. Aurora is now lump on the floor, eyes are dead. And she's slowly sinking into a pile of her own blood. Silas holds the knife in his hands, and I see Anna quickly run out of the house being unnoticed with the commotion that's going on she turns around but doesn't make a sound.

Tears are streaming down her face, but she doesn't make any noise. She runs out of the house into the back garden. And then I see the most unbelievable thing. I see me.
