Azania
I cross my legs on the coffee table with the popcorn on my lap and a drink at my side on the couch, ready to just watch a movie and relax. 10 Things I Hate About You my second favorite movie after Thirteen. I was long due for a little movie marathon. But of course, as soon as I click the unpause button I get a notification on my phone.
New game you all follow and I tell you where to go.
*Address* -X
I click the block button which has been tempting me these past few messages from X, not today, X not today. My phone keeps on buzzing but ignore it because for the love of God, I just want a break. A break from all of this drama. A break from Aurora and her constant hauntings.
A break from the Steyn family and a break from this case. Just a God damn break. I don't want to play any games. If X wants me to play a game then he can have fun playing by himself. The notifications keep on buzzing on my phone and I just click the Increase volume button on the remote.
I don't have the patience or the time for this. Whether I'm Aurora's doppelganger or not, I'm done with this. Then, of course, Nicholas chooses that time to phone me. If I press the Hang up button, he's just going to burst in here thinking something has happened.
"How can I help you, Nicholas? You've disturbed my movie." "I just wanted to know if you've gotten the message from X and the messages that we've been sending on the group chat. You're not responding, so I got worried."
"Trust me, I'm a ok, I just want to eat popcorn and watch a movie. Is that too much to ask?" "No, but. Maybe we should listen to him. After all, what he did to Emily isn't far from what he's going to do to us at the end of the year."
"I know, but if I'm being honest, I'm so tired of following this case and all of these plot twists. They're just driving me insane." No matter what I do, when no matter how much I figure out, there's always more to Aurora story, I feel like such an idiot chasing an endless game.
"X gave us an address that we should follow. I'm not sure if we should go, but maybe. Just try it out for a little bit. We don't want him to do anything. He knows all of our secrets. He can use them against us before we even get to dying."
"Fine, I'll be ready in 10." I'm lying. I'll be ready in an hour only because I want to spite the people of the world. "So an hour." He says knowing me too well. "Fuck you." I say before hanging up. Mike picks me up in his car with the rest of the guys and the girls.
"Hop on in, it's a free ride." Sarah says from the passenger seat. "We've been on too many rides together in this car, and that's easy for you to say, passenger princess." I say. "Well, I can't complain. The view is beautiful and the space is big." Sarah says, sticking her tongue out at me and then turning around.
We make it to the location and it looks like an abandoned building or buildings. It's old, crippled and Rusty. "This is such a dumb idea. We are going to die like how those people die in horror movies. I mean, what made us think that this was a good idea?" Sarah says.
"You have a good point. I think that we should turn around now and pretend like this never happened before X comes around the corner with a knife, stabbing all of us to our brutal deaths. I mean, this is practically the middle of nowhere.
I know that we're still in the estate, but this freaks me out nonetheless." I say, not wanting to be here and slightly panicking. Ok, maybe that panic is not so slight but it's completely valid. "We'll be fine, I'm pretty sure. Maybe we should turn around. Mike, what are you doing?"
