Lea Kirke was staring up at the stars.

Specifically, at the one that was tinted a vibrant shade of blue.

It was something she found herself doing rather often.

Often may be putting it lightly.

It was something she found herself doing routinely.

Every single night for almost a year.

Individuals in the world she lived in would call it 'stargazing'. Perhaps they would think she was fond of astrology, or had a fascination with the glowing balls of light in the sky.

But that wasn't what she would call it.

She would call it reassurance.

Perhaps another name that she didn't quite wish to divulge.

Longing.

For when she looked up to that blue star in the sky, she wasn't Lea Kirke.

She wasn't a sixteen year old girl living as normal a life as one could in this world she found herself in.

Instead, she was someone else. She went by a name that only five people would refer to her as.

Valera.

A witch that had a power the people in this world could scarcely dream of.

A queen who had a land to rule and responsibilities to uphold.

But in this world, that power ceased to exit.

There is a very different ruler of the land who leads differently to how she once did.

The responsibilities she now had veered more on the side of academics and chores.

Her life had been turned around to become the complete opposite of the one she used to live.

A rather daunting and scary experience, which had resulted in the name she didn't care to divulge.

The longing she had to return to the one prior.

To be that powerful witch and queen again.

To go back to the time when she lived amongst her people and could be there to protect them.

To have a connection to nature, the sun and the moon, and the three rings on her right fourth finger.

However, despite this longing, the thing she would have longed for the most had stayed the same.

The one thing she cared about greater than any other had crossed over from one life to another.

The one thing that had helped keep her sane, and tackle any difficulties the transition bought upon her.

The one thing that was about to join her as she stared up at the stars.

"Stargazing again?"

Valera didn't remove her eyes from the blue light above her as she hummed an affirming note to her husband.

She then felt a warm object be draped over her shoulders, relieving her of the slight chill that had started to overcome her sitting outside on a brisk autumn night.

Then, in the corner of her eye, she saw Peter Pevensie lower himself down to sit beside her on the wooden bench she had opted to perch on.

"I keep telling you that if you stay out here for too long, you'll catch a cold", he reminded her.

Without having to use words to prove him right, Valera shivered before pulling the blanket tighter around her.

"I lose track of time. There isn't a clock out here to assist me", she tried to excuse.
