Raul narrating

It was the start of classes in 2016 and I wasn't very excited, as that suffering was going to start again and my vacation went by very quickly. My parents had been promising almost the entire previous year that we would go to a beach in a coastal city as soon as we were on vacation in December and they just kept postponing and postponing and when I realized, my vacation was already over and it would be on the day we were going travel.

I woke up that day excited, with the morning sun coming through the gaps in the curtains in my room and hitting my face, I stretched out on the bed and got up excited, because I was going to travel. I had breakfast excitedly, but not before taking a look inside the room and seeing my bags packed for the trip.

I was so excited that my parents noticed and my mother asked smiling why I was so excited and I said smiling. — Did you forget that I'm traveling today? — he told them.

John, who was already prepared and with his bags packed, started laughing and almost choked on his coffee, while my father looked at him with a serious face and my mother had that “I'm sorry, Son.” look on her face and I looked at them and asked what was happening.

They looked at each other and thought about an answer to give me, and at the same moment they did that, I heard a bus stop in front of my house and I could hear everyone laughing excitedly and shouting John's name.

— Oops, it’s here. — Said John, taking his bags and going to my parents to hug them and ask for their blessings.

— Wait, John, I'm going too, let me just get my things from the room. — I said to him.

— Your classes start today Raul, I just found out and you won't be able to go. — Said my mother with a face like “ah, Son, I’m sorry.” and that made me very angry.

— What about John? Doesn't he go to school too? - I told her.

— John's classes don't start for another week. — Said my father. — Next time you go, Son.

— I can't believe you delayed it so long and in the end you simply stopped me from going, just because my classes started now! — I shouted angrily.

— Calm down, little brother, your opportunity will come. — John said smiling and running his hand over my head with that usual ironic tone and then he left excitedly carrying his things, he left so excited that he forgot the door to the house was open.

My mother asked me to go close the door and that's what I did. I was very angry and watched the bus leave from the door, with everyone excited and laughing in the vehicle. Some people were mocking me for not going and said ironically things like “John is very mean, he left his little brother behind!”, “Next time you go Raul! Do not be sad." and “Look at him, it’s kind of sad.”

I still heard some laughter on the bus and some people stuck their heads out and looked in my direction laughing, some asking for help saying they were being kidnapped, held captive and also some straight tops moaning like gays.

The bus was leaving and my brother was in a chair in the middle of it with a girl and he was wearing sunglasses and as the bus was going they kissed and said goodbye to me and everyone inside did the same. The bus went along with everyone putting their arms and heads out, saying goodbye with their hands and saying in sync “Goodbye Raul!”

— Man, it's prejudice to say that only hyenas and dogs like to live in a mess. That bus was full of lynxes and cats and there was a dog running around inside. - I thought.

So I closed the door sullenly, went back to my room sighing with anger and started kicking the suitcase that was full of clothes and then I took out all the clothes that were there and threw them all over the room.
