Pov. Narrator

There were only thirty minutes left before the biology class ended and everyone was released to go home, Matheus was sitting in one of the middle chairs in the classroom, he was trying to concentrate on the class about the Brazilian cerrado that the teacher was teaching, Matheus he felt someone holding his tail and then let go, Matheus shook the tail and placed it on his lap but it returned to the back of the chair and again Matheus felt someone touching it and some smiling noises coming from the back.

Matheus turned and glanced back, Ryan was sitting in the chair behind him forming a group with his girlfriend, the raccoon was talking to his girlfriend when Matheus turned to look back.

Matheus looked at Ryan with his piercing green eyes and turned back to the front, returning to pay attention to the class after sighing.

Matheus heard some smiling noises again coming from the chair at the back.

- I think it's Ryan! - Matheus said to himself, sighing and starting to lose his patience, Matheus looked back again and Ryan was talking to his girlfriend.

- It'll be the last time, if he does it again I'll hit him in the head. - Matheus said to himself.

Paulo and Luis were sitting in chairs a little close to Matheus, Paulo had pulled Matheus' tail and was smiling along with Luís, he leaned forward a little to do that again but had to step back when the teacher who was copying on the board He turned to look at the class.

- Can you speak more quietly, Bianca, please! - Said the teacher and the cat lowered her tone, she was talking to Raul the lynx.

- His tail is that of a wolf, that's why he's strange. - Said a voice coming from the back, Matheus' ears picked up that it was Luis or Paulo's voice, they had whispered behind his back, that hurt him a little but he decided to ignore and continue copying.

Lucas, being close to Bianca, just watched everything that was happening, Luís and Paulo laughed with smothered smiles as they looked in Matheus' direction.

Matheus's ears were turned back, this time he would be more attentive if they tried to pull his tail, Paulo was extending his paw with his arm, slowly approaching to touch Matheus tail, Matheus ears were alert as if he could feel Paulo approaching, Matheus was preparing to take him by surprise, Matheus pupils dilated while Luís smiled seeing Paulo approaching but before Paulo could pull his tail the school siren echoed indicating the time to return home.

Paulo quickly retreated to his chair and began to collect his things to leave, Matheus looked back at him for a few seconds, collected his things and left the classroom heading towards the bus stop.

Lucas collected his things and left the room with Ryan, Matheus was outside the school waiting for them.

- So are we going by bus or walking? - Said Ryan.

- By bus, I'm too tired to walk back today. - Said Matheus.

- I think we better go to the bus stop soon, a bus will pass in ten minutes. - Said Ryan looking at the wristwatch he was wearing.

The sky on that average day was clear and sunny with a few scattered clouds, some white and others a little grayer, it was windy and it wasn't hot or cold.

Matheus put his hand over his mouth and yawned, he hadn't slept well the night before and all he wanted at that moment was to go home and get some sleep after lunch.

Ryan was next to Matheus and was chewing gum, Matheus looked at Ryan as if he wanted to say with his eyes that the noise was annoying, Ryan had a mini smile on his face and continued to do so but now louder as he increased the speed of his chewing, Matheus moved a little away from him, leaving the top of the tree and staying under the pink ipê tree, close to the bus stop, Matheus looked towards Lucas and the wolf seemed to be downloading songs on his cell phone, Matheus yawned again taking his hand to his mouth, he took a deep breath pulling the air into his lungs, it was cool under that tree making Matheus almost close his eyes and sleep right there.
