Pov. Storyteller
Matheus was only six years old and as usual he woke up early every day and his father was going to drop him off at school by car. Matheus noticed that his father seemed apprehensive that day and so he asked. - Dad, are you okay?
- Yes. - Said Leonardo, looking a little worried.
- Is everything really okay, Dad? - Matheus asked again, seeing a sad expression on his father's face.
- I am fine! - Leonardo said, patting his son's head.
When the light turned red, Leonardo accelerated the car, moving forward to get out of there and heading in the opposite direction to Matheus' school.
- Dad, the school is over there! - Said Matheus.
- You will no longer study there, you will go to a new school now. - Said Leonardo.
- But why? - Matheus asked, curious and missing his old school.
- It's a school just for wolves, friends' children study there. - Said Leonardo.
- But I wanted to continue at the other school! - Said Matheus.
- He must miss that hyena! I'm doing good to get him out of there! - Leonardo thought.
- The new school is better! You will make many friends there - Said Leonardo.
- I'm going to miss my old school. - Said Matheus, a little sadly.
Matheus spent a few minutes feeling a little sad as he sat with cokes in the front seat of the car and watched the landscapes through the car window.
The landscapes were changing and now the houses were disappearing from the horizon, leaving only trees and more trees, with the car starting to enter a street inside a forest.
Leonardo noticed that his son was sad about having to change schools.
- Don't be sad, you'll make other friends there, Douglas will be there with you, you won't be alone. - Said Leonardo but that didn't seem to cheer his son up much.
When you come home, I'll make fried mouse and potatoes for you. - Said Leonardo.
- But you said that wolves don't eat these things. - Said Matheus.
- But I'll do it anyway. - Said Leonardo while driving the car, looking for a way to make his son happy.
Matheus seemed to get more excited and added a few more things to his wish list while his father only nodded his agreement.
Leonardo saw his son become more excited as the child was happy imagining all his wishes being fulfilled.
When the car approached where Matheus' new school would be, sitting on the bench he observed the landscape outside and his new school had three floors, had a red brick façade, in the style of an English school, the Car entered the gate and Matheus saw some wolves and when they observed him they looked at him with contempt which made Matheus feel a little bad.
The car parked near other cars and Leonardo got out of the car and then opened the door for his son to get out on the other side of the car.
Leonardo helped his son out by lifting him under his armpits.
Leonardo put his son on the floor and took a key and opened the trunk of the car, taking out a small suitcase with some clothes.
- Dad, what is that suitcase for? - Matheus asked.
- Dad will need to travel, I need you to stay here until I get back! - Said Leonardo.
- Are you leaving me here alone? - Matheus asked, looking at his father with his penetrating green eyes, with a canine expression.
