Hoseok paced back and forth in the room where he had been held captive, his heart pounding with nervous energy. The time for escape had come sooner than he had anticipated. He had overheard a conversation outside his door earlier—someone, possibly a maid, mentioning that the six masters were heading out and wouldn't be back for a while. Hoseok’s heart leaped with hope; this was his chance.

He cautiously opened the sliding door that led to the balcony and stepped out, squinting against the sunlight. From his vantage point, he watched the six brothers getting into a sleek black car, the chauffeur at the wheel. Hoseok held his breath as the car pulled away from the mansion, disappearing down the long driveway.

Without wasting a second, Hoseok dashed back inside the room. He stripped the bedsheets from the bed and hurried back to the balcony. His hands shook as he tied the sheets to the railing, letting the other end drop down the side of the building. The makeshift rope didn’t reach the ground, but it was enough to get him close. Beneath the balcony was a thick, well-manicured bush that would hopefully cushion his fall.

Hoseok climbed over the railing, gripping the sheet tightly as he slid down. He dropped onto the bush, barely feeling the scratch of leaves against his skin. There was no time to check for injuries; he scrambled to his feet and started running.

The mansion was enormous, a labyrinth of perfectly manicured gardens and sprawling pathways. Hoseok’s heart raced as he darted around corners, desperate to find the gate to freedom. His panic grew with every wrong turn. It felt like hours, but after what must have been thirty minutes, he finally found the entrance gate. It was open—surprisingly so. His mind barely registered the oddity of it; he was too focused on escaping.

Hoseok shoved the gate open and burst out, sprinting down the road. His eyes darted around, searching for any sign of life. The area was eerily deserted, as if this place was isolated from the rest of the world. Then, he spotted a car approaching. Waving his arms frantically, Hoseok shouted for help.

The car slowed and came to a stop. A man leaned out of the window, eyeing Hoseok with curiosity. "What are you doing out here?"

"Please, help me!" Hoseok begged, his voice trembling. "Call 911 or take me anywhere but here! I was kidnapped, and I just escaped! Please!"

The man’s expression shifted to one of concern. "Get in. I’ll take you somewhere safe."

Without hesitation, Hoseok jumped into the car. He didn’t even think twice when the door automatically locked from the inside. Relief washed over him as they drove away from the gate. But the relief was short-lived. Hoseok’s stomach dropped as the car began to turn back in the direction he had just escaped from.

"S-sir, you're going the wrong way," Hoseok stuttered, dread creeping into his voice.

The man said nothing, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. Hoseok’s heart pounded as the gate to the mansion came into view. When the car rolled to a stop in front of it, Hoseok felt like the ground had been pulled from beneath him. This had been a trap all along.

"No... no, please!" Hoseok’s voice cracked as he started to cry. "Please, don’t take me back! I’ll do anything, just don’t take me back there!"

The man remained silent as the gate swung open. He drove in and parked the car, then stepped out, ignoring Hoseok’s desperate pleas. He walked around to the passenger side, yanked the door open, and roughly pulled Hoseok out of the car.

Hoseok struggled, but the man’s grip was ironclad as he dragged him toward the entrance of the mansion. Hoseok’s heart sank to his stomach when he saw the six brothers standing there, waiting for him with expressions of disappointment, cruelty, and something far more terrifying.

Hoseok’s knees nearly buckled as he was dragged before them. He knew he was in deep trouble—deeper than ever before.

And he knew, with a sickening certainty, that he wouldn’t be escaping again. Not this time.
