December 22

We were all dressed and ready to go, bundled up in our snow gear, and I couldn't help but feel excited. Everyone was buzzing, cracking jokes as we made our way up to the snow tubing area.

As we walked up to the instructor, a woman with a big smile on her face greeted us.

"Hey, y'all! Welcome to snow tubing! I'm Lisa, and I'll be showing you the ropes today," she said, her voice loud and cheerful.

We all nodded, some of us more focused than others. Rihanna was already making jokes under her breath, which had Kelly and Kehlani snickering.

Lisa continued, "Alright, so here's how it works. You'll each grab a tube, head up the hill, and when you're ready, just sit down in the tube and push off. Keep your arms and legs inside the tube as you slide down. Trust me, you're gonna love it. And don't worry, it's safe-just try not to run into each other at the bottom." She grinned, clearly used to people getting competitive. "Any questions?"

Blue raised her hand, pretending to be serious. "Yeah, uh, how many times can I beat everybody down the hill before they get mad?"

We all laughed, and Lisa chuckled too. "You'll just have to find out!"

I looked over at Nicki, catching her smile, and it made my heart skip a little. I loved seeing her like this-relaxed, happy, just enjoying the moment.

I could tell we were about to have a good time.

We grabbed our tubes, and just as I was getting ready to head up the hill, Nicki whined, "Baby, can you carry mine?"

I laughed, "Okay, mamas," and grabbed hers too.

Lauren couldn't help but tease, "Girl, you can carry your damn own tube."

Nicki, being extra, said, "I'm grieving."

Kehlani hesitated. "I don't know if I should laugh at that or not."

Nicki laughed, and of course, everyone joined in. I shook my head, smiling as we all walked up the hill. I glanced over at Blue, who was grinning, and it made me happy seeing them all like this.

We made it to the top, and I held Nicki's tube steady as she climbed in, adjusting herself carefully.

"You good?" I asked, making sure she was snug in there.

Nicki looked up at me with a grin, "Yes, baby, I'm good."

I turned my head just in time to see some young boy trying to help Blue with her tube.

"You need help?" he asked, sounding all polite.

Before she could even respond, I jumped in, "Uh uh, she got it."
