Today was my 30th birthday, and I couldn't be happier to be alive, living, and breathing. The first thing I did this morning was thank God for my life. I'm so grateful that I don't look like everything I've been through.
30... it feels like a rebirth.
I can feel the presence of God so clearly in my life now, guiding me, showing me that everything I went through was leading me here. I'm not afraid anymore. I'm excited.
I'm ready to embrace all that's coming my way-the good, the bad, and everything in between-because I know I'm built for it. I've been through hell, but I found heaven within myself. I found my peace.
I'm 30, and for the first time, I can truly say I'm free. Free from him. Free from fear. Free to live and love without limits. I can't wait to see what God has in store for me and my family.
I grabbed my phone and saw it was time for me to get up and go to work, I noticed the messages and missed calls.
I didn't think everybody would be up so early as they were.

I almost dropped my phone-there's no way Lauren just sent me $1500 without a second thought. I wanted to cry. It's not about the money; it's about how the people in my life genuinely care for me and would do anything for me at a moment's notice.

I went out of Lauren's messages and checked the rest-Kehlani, Solange, and then Kelly. I replied to them all. Even Blue texted me, though I knew she'd probably tell me happy birthday again once she saw me.
As for Beyoncé, she was probably busy handling the twins, so I wasn't too worried about why she hadn't texted yet.
I got up, brushed my teeth, and hopped in the shower. Once I was done, I turned on a little music-I was really in a good mood, and I prayed it would stay that way for a while.
