I walked into my office, feeling drained. Tre and I had just had another argument because I didn't come home when he got there.

He lost it over the smallest things, and today he was mad because my mom had given him attitude.

He took his anger out on me, and honestly, I was just exhausted.

I plopped down at my desk and logged into my computer. I had a few students coming in to talk about grades and some seniors to chat about college stuff. My phone rang-it was Rihanna.

What could she want so early? I answered the call with a sigh.

I answered the phone with a tired, "Good morning."

Rihanna replied, "Soooo..."

"Girl, spit it out. It's early as hell," I said, trying to keep my patience.

She asked, "Is Kehlani and that girl Kelly messing around now?"

I laughed and said, "I know damn well that's not why you're calling me."

"I just want to know," she said.

"Ask Kehlani. I'm not in her fucking bedroom, so I wouldn't know," I replied.

She sighed, "That's fucked up if she is."

I asked, "Is it?"

Rihanna said, "What do you mean?"

I explained, "You and Kehlani were just messing around, Rih. You never established a relationship. I told you a while back that you should've stopped."

Rihanna admitted, "I know, but it's hard not to feel a certain way."

"Well, you need to talk to her about that," I told her.

Rihanna kept going on and on, but then the school's officer walked in with a visibly upset and crying Blue. I told Rihanna I had to go and hung up the phone.

I stood up quickly and asked, "What happened?"

The officer replied, "Blue got into a fight with another student. She almost knocked her unconscious. I was instructed to bring her to you."

I glanced at Blue, her face flushed with a mix of anger and embarrassment.

"Thank you for bringing her," I said, trying to stay calm.

The officer nodded and said, "I'll leave you to handle this. Just make sure it doesn't happen again."

Once the officer left, I turned to Blue and said, "Blue, sit down."

She crossed her arms and replied, "No."

I raised my voice a bit, saying, "Blue, sit down."

Slowly, Blue eased herself into a chair, her eyes still red from crying. I stood in front of my desk, arms folded, trying to keep my frustration in check.
