Onika Maraj Bey's Home
December 15, 2025
I was in the kitchen making coffee for myself and Beyoncé while she was getting the twins ready to spend the day with Solange. After work, we had interviews lined up for a nanny position, which had me feeling pretty anxious.
Despite Beyoncé's reassurances-reminding me that the nanny would be here at her place and we'd have cameras around-I couldn't shake the nerves. The idea of leaving my babies with a stranger just felt unsettling.
"Good morning, Mom," Blue greeted with a smile, coming over to give me a hug before grabbing her cereal.
"Good morning. You're in a good mood today," I noted, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, you're back here with us, and I still don't understand why you left in the first place. Feels like we're one step closer to you two getting back together. By the way, you never told me how your birthday went," she smirked, clearly fishing for details.
I rolled my eyes at her. This girl needed to learn how to stay in a child's place. "What are you getting at, Blue?"
"Oh, nothing. Just curious. You never said if you had fun, and Mama didn't come home that night, so I'm guessing she was with you," she shrugged casually as she sat down to eat her cereal. I couldn't help but laugh and wave her off.
"I had fun, that's all you need to know," I said, brushing off Blue's curiosity.
A few seconds later, Beyoncé came down the stairs with both babies in their car seats, wide awake and blowing bubbles. She set them on the counter, and I immediately walked over, unable to resist talking to them.
"Hi, Mommy's chunky babies," I cooed, tickling their little bellies. Their giggles filled the kitchen, and I couldn't help but marvel at the fact that I had carried and birthed twins.
My first time giving birth, and I had to push out two babies. Wow.
"They're so cute! Y'all need to have another," Blue teased, her comment making me look up from the boys. Beyoncé turned around too.
"I was just playing! Y'all need to relax," Blue said, quickly backtracking.
"I'm not pushing out any more babies until I have a ring on this finger," I replied, lifting my hand to emphasize the point.
"Oop," Blue said with a smirk. "Heard that, Mama?"
"I did. She knows she'll get one," Beyoncé responded smoothly, stirring her coffee with a spoon before taking a sip.
And just like that, a familiar rush hit me. Why did hearing her say that make me wet?
I glanced over at her and smiled, but I could tell something was weighing on her mind. She leaned against the counter, sipping her coffee, and I remembered today was her first day in her new position.
