I got out of the car, taking a deep breath before grabbing the stroller from the trunk. I unfolded it carefully.
One by one, I lifted the twins out of their car seats, placing them gently into the stroller. It was their one-month checkup today, and I could hardly believe how big they were getting already...
Time was flying, and yet... everything else felt so heavy.
Beyoncé had her physical therapy and therapy session today too. We haven't spoken much since her birthday. Things have been awkward, to say the least.
It's like we've been living as roommates, not really talking, just co-existing. I hate it, but I don't know how to fix it right now.
Onyx was starting to fuss, his little whimpers breaking through my thoughts. I grabbed his pacifier and gently placed it in his mouth, hoping it would calm him down.
I adjusted the diaper bag on my back and started walking toward the building, pushing the stroller.
The weight of everything-not just the bag but the silence between Beyoncé and me-felt heavy on my shoulders.
I got inside, signed the twins in, and sat down. As soon as I settled into the chair, my phone vibrated.
I pulled it out, glancing at the screen, it was Blue.
Today 8AM
Blue🦋: Mom, come check me out.
: you just got to school????? : why?
Blue🦋: i'm not feeling good today. : TT still made me come🙄
: bc you might be lying.... are you?
Blue🦋: i'm not, I frew up : 🥹🥹🥹

Blue🦋: okay I am but just bring me food : and can I come over today to see my brothers?
: I can do that. : and I will come over there later❤️
Blue🦋: oh so she don't want me there?
: no, i'm saying it's just a bit crazy rn... : I rather come to you bby.
The nurse stepped out with her clipboard, scanning the waiting room. "Knowles twins," she called, glancing around. I locked my phone and stood up, pushing the stroller as I made my way to the back.
