Onika Maraj
Bar & Lounge

December 19, 2025

Tyler and I walked into the bar and lounge together; it had a nice, cute vibe to it. It was very dark, with subtle lighting, and the atmosphere was elegant and beautiful. I still didn't know why I had agreed to come with him.

I was just upset that Beyoncé had embarrassed herself by putting her hands on him, and I felt bad.

"Do you want to sit here?" he asked, pointing to an empty section. I nodded.

"This will be fine," I said.

He gestured for me to sit down first, and I did. Then, he sat beside me. One of the waitress came over and asked what we'd like to drink.

After we ordered, he leaned back in his seat, and I looked over at him, noticing that his nose wasn't bleeding anymore.

"How are you feeling? I'm sorry, by the way. I didn't know she was going to do that to you," I said, feeling like I had to apologize for her actions.

A grown woman who couldn't control her damn temper.

"It's fine... it didn't hurt," he joked.

I knew he was lying. The way he had squinted and held his nose, I knew that shit hurt, but he didn't want to seem weak for getting hit by a woman.

"I apologize," I repeated.

"No worries, but I'm a little confused why she felt the need to hit me. You guys are best friends, right?" he asked.

"More like ex-lovers. The twins are hers."

"Oh, so you guys did surrogacy or something like that?" he asked. The waitress came back and handed us our drinks.

We thanked her, and I took a sip.

"No," I simply said.

"Well... how?" he asked.

"None of that matters. It's not my place to discuss her business with you, no disrespect," I said, and he nodded.

"Fair enough. What's up with you? You seemed pretty upset," he asked. I sighed.

"I'm fine. Just need a drink or two," I shrugged.

"I know we don't know each other that well, but you can talk to me. I'm actually pretty good at giving advice," he said.

"It's kind of awkward talking about it with you," I said.

"Why would it be?" he asked. He knew damn well.

"Because let's not act like you don't like me, or pretend we didn't take things to another level before, with the whole touching," I said, chuckling and sipping more of my drink.
