69: Three Words

Tiny's POV

The moment the bedroom door closed, I wanted Lily in my bed, moaning and breathlessly saying my name. And she did. Her nerves were evident, unsure of what she wanted, but that didn't stop her from exploring and trying new things, which turned me on even more.

Lily looked up at me and stopped and it took everything in me to regain an ounce of control and not completely explode. Over the next week, the girls spoiled the shit out of Lily. Taking her to get her nails done, shopping, letting her make a mess in the coffee shop's kitchen, playing with the babies, and begging me to let her go back to work at the diner. As much as I wanted to keep her hidden from the world, I knew Lily would never be happy hiding away and not sharing her light with others. So after a week, I reluctantly let her return to work.

As soon as Lily entered the diner in uniform, Nathan and Hope dropped what they were doing and embraced Lily. While we sat down, Hope said hello to Ginger and Ellie and asked how Kayla and Callie were doing. Whiskey insisted both stay home, as Kayla was still recovering and Callie was too young to be out in public. After a while, the diner filled up, and Ellie was ready for her afternoon nap.

I pulled Lily out from behind the counter and kissed her in front of a full diner, ensuring everyone understood she was mine and protected by The Phoenix Riders for life. Lily smiled at me as I hopped on my bike, pulled down my visor, and took off. I hate leaving her here, but in three short weeks, the bakery will be open, and I want Lily to enjoy spending time here with her friends before we open. Plus, I have a few things I need to do.

By the time I finished everything, Lily's shift was ending, and I stopped at the diner to pick her up. I watched Lily say goodnight to customers and friends and smiled.

I never imagined life would go the way it has, but looking at Lily, I see my future, and I cannot wait.

Lily came bounding out of the diner and straight to me, wrapped her arms around my neck, and kissed me. I handed her the extra helmet, and she stared at me wide-eyed.

"Are you sure? You know I've never ridden before..." she trailed off.

Helping her secure the helmet, I pulled her to me and mused, "There's a first time for everything. Do you trust me?"

Lily climbed on the bike behind me and gave me a gentle squeeze. "With my life," she whispered, and I knew she meant every word.

"I love you, Lily."

"I love you too Tiny."

I turned around and smiled, "it's Luke, for the record."

Lily's face lit up, shocked before it softened and she nestled further into me.

I definitely chose the right woman to spend the rest of my life with.
