Y/N's POV

Day 6 went by in a flash and soon enough we were at day 7.

Dream didn't say anything that morning.

Which immediately felt suspicious.

Sapnap noticed it too.

"...Why is he quiet?"

"I'm always quiet," Dream said.

"No you're not," Sapnap replied instantly.

Dream ignored him and tossed something onto the ground between us.

Three swords.

I blinked.

"...What is that?"

Sapnap leaned forward. "Oh I don't like that."

Dream finally looked at us.

"Final test."

That alone made Sapnap take a step back.

"I would like to formally decline the final test."

"You don't get to decline," Dream said.

I picked up one of the swords slowly.

"What kind of test?"

Dream stepped into the center of the field.

"Beat me."

Silence.

Sapnap stared.

Then pointed at him.

"Absolutely not."

Dream didn't move.

"You've had seven days of training."

"That doesn't mean we can beat you," I said carefully.

"That's the point," he replied.

Sapnap groaned. "This is rigged."

"No," Dream said. "It's accurate."

I looked at Sapnap.

He looked at me.

"...We're doing this," I said.

Sapnap sighed dramatically.

"I blame both of you."

Dream didn't hold back.

That was the first thing I realized.

He never did.

Sapnap rushed in first.

Immediately.

"GO GO GO—"

He lasted about five seconds before Dream sidestepped him and lightly knocked his sword away.

"HEY—"

"You're predictable," Dream said.

Sapnap gasped. "I AM MANY THINGS BUT PREDICTABLE IS; okay fair."

Then he got pushed back again.

Not hurt.

Just... reset.

Dream turned toward me.

My stomach tightened.

"Your turn," he said.

I exhaled.

Then moved.
