Y/N's POV

The house was quiet when I woke up.

For once.

No arguments.

No challenges.

No monsters trying to kill us.

Just silence.

Actual silence.

I stared at the wooden ceiling above my bed for a few seconds.

Then sighed.

Because even though today was technically a rest day—

I couldn't stop thinking.

The Stronghold.

The End.

The dragon.

Everything waiting for us eventually.

We had time.

For once we actually had time.

But somehow that almost felt worse.

Because now I had time to think about everything that could go wrong.

I slipped out of bed before anyone else woke up.

The morning air was cool outside.

The wheat field swayed gently in the breeze.

Birds chirped somewhere nearby.

It felt almost normal.

Almost.

My eyes drifted toward the training area behind the house.

The same clearing Dream had used during my training.

A week ago I would've walked away.

Told myself I deserved a break.

That I could train tomorrow.

But now?

Now I found myself walking toward it automatically.

Sword already in hand.

The clearing looked smaller than I remembered.

Or maybe I was bigger.

Stronger.

More confident.

I wasn't sure.

I stepped into the center.

Adjusted my grip.

And swung.

Once.

Twice.

Again.

Again.

Again.

The movements felt awkward at first.

But eventually muscle memory took over.

The drills Dream had taught me.

Footwork.

Balance.

Recovery.

Control.

Everything repeated itself until I didn't have to think anymore.

Just move.

Move.

Move.
