Nick's POV

Three weeks.

Three whole Minecraft weeks.

If someone had told me the first day we woke up here that we'd survive this long, I probably would've laughed at them.

Now?

This place almost felt normal.

Almost.

The house looked completely different than it had when we first found it. The small dirt shelter had been replaced by a two-story oak house with glass windows, actual bedrooms, a storage room, and even a fenced area for animals.

Y/N was responsible for most of it.

Not because she built everything herself.

Because somehow she convinced the rest of us to help.

Dream was outside finishing a watchtower.

George was arguing with a cow.

Again.

And I was carrying logs back toward the house.

A normal day.

Somehow.

I stepped through the front door and immediately stopped.

Flowers.

Everywhere.

Flower pots on windowsills.

Flowers on tables.

Flowers outside the entrance.

Flowers hanging from the ceiling.

"Y/N."

She looked up from where she was placing another flower pot.

"Yeah?"

"How many flowers do we need?"

She glanced around.

"These aren't all the flowers."

I stared at her.

She stared back.

Then smiled.

"Oh no."

"There's more."

A laugh escaped me before I could stop it.

Across the room George groaned dramatically.

"Thank God I'm not the only one suffering."

"You live here too," Y/N replied.

"Against my will."

Dream walked through the front door carrying wood.

"You literally helped build it."

"Against my will."

"That's not how that works."

"It is if I say it confidently."

Dream immediately pointed at him.

"See? That's what Y/N does."

"Hey!"

George burst out laughing.

For a moment nobody talked.

Nobody fought.

Nobody worried about challenges or monsters or surviving.

We were just...

Home.

And maybe that should've been the warning.

Because nothing good ever lasts forever in Minecraft.
