Y/N's POV

The next morning, I woke up before everyone else.

For a few seconds I just stared at the ceiling of the shelter.

Listening.

No arguing.

No laughing.

No George somehow finding trouble before breakfast.

Just quiet.

The kind of quiet that only existed right before the day started.

I rolled onto my side.

Across the room George was asleep with one arm hanging off his bed.

Dream was curled up against the wall.

And Sapnap—

My eyes immediately found him.

Which was a problem.

A very specific problem.

Because now every time I looked at him, my brain remembered last night.

The hand holding.

The way he'd looked at me.

The way neither of us had let go until George ruined everything.

My face immediately felt warm.

Fantastic.

I buried my face in my pillow.

This was ridiculous.

We had Bastions to find.

Piglins to survive.

Challenges to complete.

And somehow I was thinking about hand holding.

Absolutely pathetic.

A few minutes later George snorted in his sleep and nearly rolled off the bed.

The moment was ruined.

Which meant things were finally normal again.

George was talking with his mouth full.

Dream was trying to organize supplies.

Sapnap kept stealing food from everyone's inventory.

And I was attempting to make sure nobody forgot anything important.

"You have blocks, right?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Food?"

"Yes."

"Extra pickaxe?"

Sapnap paused.

I narrowed my eyes.

"Sapnap."

"I forgot the pickaxe."

Dream immediately groaned.

George nearly choked laughing.

I closed my eyes.

"How?"

"I don't know."

"You literally packed yesterday."

"It was a difficult process."

"It was putting things in a chest."

"It was emotionally difficult."

George fell out of his chair laughing.
