Y/N's POV
The first thing I became aware of was warmth.
The second thing was sunlight.
Golden rays filtered through the windows of the house, stretching across the wooden floor and painting everything in soft shades of orange and gold.
For a moment I just lay there, staring up at the ceiling.
It was quiet.
Peaceful.
The kind of peaceful that never seemed to last very long anymore.
Eventually I pushed myself upright and stretched, wincing slightly as muscles protested from yesterday's travel.
Apparently surviving in Minecraft was significantly more exhausting than playing it.
Who would've guessed?
A soft snore pulled my attention toward the other side of the room.
George was sprawled against the wall, somehow taking up more space than should've been physically possible.
Sapnap had rolled halfway across the floor during the night.
And Dream...
Dream was still asleep.
One arm folded beneath his head.
The other resting loosely across his chest.
For once he didn't look constantly alert.
Didn't look like he was already planning ten moves ahead.
He just looked tired.
Human.
I looked away quickly.
Because staring at sleeping people felt weird.
Probably.
Maybe.
Hopefully.
I stood up before my brain could embarrass me further and quietly slipped outside.
Cool morning air brushed against my face immediately.
The sun had barely cleared the horizon.
Perfect.
Nobody was awake.
That meant I had time.
Because if we were going to spend the day mining for iron, we needed food first.
Lots of food.
I headed toward the nearby river and immediately spotted several sheep grazing along the bank.
My eyes narrowed.
The sheep continued existing peacefully.
Their mistake.
"Sorry guys."
A few minutes later I was carrying several pieces of raw mutton and enough wool to eventually make beds.
A successful hunt.
As I headed back toward the house, I noticed one lonely sheep staring at me from a distance.
The remaining survivor.
We locked eyes.
"...Tell your friends I wasn't happy about it either."
The sheep offered no response.
Rude.
I returned to the house and immediately started cooking the mutton.
