Y/N's POV

The house appeared just before sunset.

For a second, I genuinely thought I was imagining it.

The familiar wooden walls stood at the edge of the field exactly where we'd left them.

The wheat farm swayed in the evening breeze.

Torches lined the fence.

The small path we'd worn into the grass months ago was still visible.

Home.

Actual home.

Nobody said anything at first.

We just stopped walking.

Looking at it.

After everything we'd been through, it somehow felt smaller.

Not worse.

Just smaller.

Like we'd grown around it.

Sapnap was the first one to speak.

"Wow."

George laughed softly.

"That's it?"

Sapnap pointed dramatically.

"What do you want from me? I had an emotional speech planned and then I forgot it."

"Convenient."

"It was really good too."

Dream shook his head.

But I caught the tiny smile he tried to hide.

The front door creaked when we pushed it open.

Exactly the same as before.

Inside, everything was unchanged.

The crafting tables.

The furnaces.

The storage chests.

The chairs.

The kitchen.

Everything.

My chest tightened unexpectedly.

Because the last time we'd all been here together—

George had still been alive.

Then I immediately corrected myself.

George was alive.

He was standing right beside me.

But the memory still hurt.

Maybe it always would.

George stepped into the living room slowly.

His eyes moved across every corner.

Every detail.

Every block.

Then he laughed quietly.

"What?"

I looked over.

He shook his head.

"I forgot how ugly this place is."

Sapnap gasped.

"Excuse me?"

"You built half of it."

"Exactly."

Dream snorted.

And just like that—
