Y/N's POV

The rain started sometime during the night.

Not enough to be annoying.

Just enough that the world felt softer when I woke up.

The roof creaked quietly overhead.

The wheat fields outside swayed in the wind.

And for the first time in what felt like forever—

nobody was trying to kill us.

It should've felt relaxing.

Instead it felt strange.

Because now that we finally had time to breathe—

I couldn't stop thinking.

About the Stronghold.

About the End.

About everything waiting for us.

Eventually I gave up on sleeping and climbed out of bed.

The house was already awake.

Which wasn't surprising.

Dream was organizing supplies.

George was sitting on the counter for absolutely no reason.

And Sapnap was stealing food.

"Good morning," I said.

Sapnap immediately shoved half a piece of bread into his mouth.

Dream didn't even look up.

"That's the third piece."

Sapnap pointed accusingly.

"Stop counting."

"I'm not counting."

"You literally knew it was the third piece."

Dream finally looked up.

"...that's fair."

George laughed.

And just like that—

the house felt alive again.

Normal things.

Good things.

By midday we eventually split up to gather supplies.

Dream wanted more wood.

George wanted more food.

Sapnap wanted "whatever sounds easiest."

Nobody was surprised.

Mostly because none of them could agree on a plan.
