"Liam has Kidney stones so we're going to prepare him for a Ureterorenoscopy which is also sometimes known as retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS).

It involves passing a long, thin telescope called a ureteroscope through your urethra (the tube urine passes through out of the body) and into your bladder. It is then passed up into your ureter to where the stone is stuck.

The surgeon may either try to gently remove the stone using another instrument, or they may use laser energy to break the stone up into small pieces so that it can be passed naturally in your urine." The doctor explained

"How long will it take" I asked

"It can take up to two hours" The Doctor told us

"How long will it take him to recover" Louis asked

"At least two weeks but he may still get a bit of pain" The Doctor warned us as we nodded before he left saying he's going to let the surgeon know

"See Ni, Liam is going to be just fine" Harry told Niall as he nodded

"Do you want a cuddle with Haz and I" Louis asked as Niall shook his head before snuggling into me and falling asleep

"Shall we let the fan know" I asked as I looked at my phone

"Yea but just put that he is in hospital" Louis explained as Harry and I nodded before we all tweeted

After two hours of waiting The doctor finally came up to us

"It was a success, we're going to keep Liam overnight but he should be good to go home tomorrow if all goes well" The Doctor explained

"Is he awake or even allowed visitors" Harry rambled on

"Yes he is awake but is very drowsy and yes he is allowed visitors" The Doctor told us

"Can we go and see him" Louis asked

"Of course follow me" The Doctor said as I stood up and carried Niall into Liam's room, where he was sat a bit up, watching TV until we came in

"Hey guys, how are you" Liam asked

"We're all ok, what about you" I asked back

"Little bit of pain but I'm ok, hey is Ni asleep" Liam asked again

"Yea, he found you passed out and went into shock mode like he Normally does but this time it was hard to get him out of it" Louis butted in

"Aww bless him, can you put him on my bed but don't wake him up" Liam explained

"Are you sure" I responded

"Of course" Liam exclaimed as I walked over and placed Niall on his bed before he shook Niall awake

"Mm" Niall responded as he opened his eyes

"Liam" Niall shouted

"Hey Ni" Liam responded hugging him

Liam was sent home the next day where he was waited on
