Depression affects people in different ways and can cause a wide variety of symptoms.

They range from lasting feelings of sadness and hopelessness, to losing interest in the things you used to enjoy and feeling very tearful. Many people with depression also have symptoms of anxiety.

There can be physical symptoms,such as feeling constantly tired, sleeping badly, having no appetite, and complaining of various aches and pains.

The severity of the symptoms can vary. At its mildest, you may simply feel persistently low in spirit, while at its most severe depression can make you feel suicidal and that life is no longer worth living.

Most people experience feelings of stress, sadness or anxiety during difficult times. A low mood may improve after a short time, rather than being a sign of depression.

Niall and the boys were just settling down after their concert, when Niall's phone started ringing, he seen it was his mom so he answered it

M:I'M SORRY NI BUT IT ISN'T

N:NOOOONiall broke down crying into Zayn's arms repeating HE'S DEAD over and over again

Liam quickly took the phone off him

L:HELLO MAURA,WHAT'S HAPPENED

M:HELLO DEAR, NIALL'S FARTHER DIED IN A CAR CRASH

L:I'M SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSE

M:THANK YOU DEAR, I GOT TO GO NOW PLEASE LOOK AFTER NIALL FOR ME

L:OF COURSE, YOU TAKE CARE

"What's up" Louis asked as he sat by Zayn and Niall rubbing Niall's back

"His dad died" Liam whisphered to the others part from Niall

flashback over:

Ever since then Niall locked himself in his room and refused to come out he spent all his days crying,sleeping and blaming his self for his dad's death even though it wasn't his fault. All the lads tried getting him out his room to eat and everything but he refused to eat and it scared the boys knowing he was in the room crying and starving his self to death. It was Liam that finally got him out the room but that was only cause he found the key and opened the door and  went in and sat on the bed

"NI, mate come here" Liam softly said as Niall crawled onto his lap silently crying

"you know he wouldn't like you to stave your self and to be sat here crying all night and day" Liam wispherd

"i-i c-can't help i-it l-li" Niall crocked out

"we'll get you help Ni i promise"

and that is what they did they got him help and slowly but surely he was back to himself again
