"please don't leave me"
It's been about three hours since the party started, Jungkook had managed to mingle with some people at the party.
He tried to keep himself at one cup, but so many people would offer to toast so he had to take sip every so open, without realising it, he was on his third cup and he was drunk.
He had managed to sneak out and go to the garden outside. He let his hair out of the bun to feel the air go through his hair as he laid on the grass.
He couldn't focus on any specif thought with being drunk, so he looked up at the stars and let his mind wonder.
"Hey I have been looking for you" It was Baekhyung who spoke.
"O hi" Jungkook smiled at him drunkenly as he struggled to seat up.
"I came out for some air" Jungkook added, Baekhyung decided to sit down next to him. "How are you enjoying the party?" he asked. "O, it's pretty fun, everyone is here is so nice" Jungkook replied with a smile.
He was swaying back and forth without a realising, and every so often he would giggle at a thought he had.
"I am so drunk" Jungkook said laughing, "you sure are" Baekhyung replied with a smile.
He had been trying to get close to Jungkook but it has not been an easy task, he noticed Jungkook tends to keep to himself. There's a girl at the university that he hangs out with sometimes but other than that it was hard to get close to him.
And here he was, with his captivating drunken smile. Maybe it was because he was also a bit drunk, maybe it was because his heart was racing being so close to Jungkook but yet feeling so far.
He leaned in closer to him, Jungkook didn't move away, so he moved even closer. He could feel Jungkook breath on his face.
He was about to kiss him when a tear ran down Jungkook 's face.
Baekhyung was taken aback, "Hey are you okay, wh-what's wrong" he asked whipping away his tears.
"Oh, I am sorry" Jungkook said also somewhat surprised, I-I, I don't know" He struggled to get up when he fell back down on his butt.
Baekhyung helped him to his feet "How about we get back inside, I will get you some water"
"I want to go home" Jungkook said with teary eyes.
"Okay, I can get you home, lets get some water first"
As they walked to the door, someone stopped them.
"Hi, I am here to pick him up"
Baekhyung felt his mouth run dry as he tried to register that thee Moon Bin was standing in front of him.
"Excuse me" he finally spoke stuttering.
"I am here to pick him up" he said tilting his head towards Jungkook who was leaning on Baekhyung.
"Are,are you sure?" Baekhyung asked, still confused and star struck.
"Kookie?" Moon Bin said, lifting his head up, Jungkook finally took notice of him, "Oh, Binny" he said drunkenly.
"O, he is here for me" Jungkook said to Baekhyung. Baekhyung was still in disbelief, how did Jungkook know him, and how well did he know him for him to come pick him up.
He was still sceptical about the interaction so he kept Jungkook to his side, this made Moon raise an eye brow.
"I understand you are being careful cause he is your friend and he is drunk, so I will give you some evidence"
Moon showed him the text he got from Jungkook asking to be picked up and when that wasn't enough he showed him some of their other conversations and their pictures together, he even called Jungkook's phone so Baekhyung could be more certain. And additionally he unlocked Jungkook's phone to show that they really knew each other.
Baekhyung looked at Jungkook, who didn't seem to be aware of his surroundings, swaying back and forth a little bit. And he wasn't fully sober himself.
"Here" Moon handed him his ID, I can see you are very conflicted and I appreciate that, you would not be a good friend if you simply handed him over because I was some famous person. Hold on to it and Jungkook will get it back for me when you see each other again, is that fine?"
"Uhm, yeah, yeah, that's okay" Baekhyung replied.
"One more thing, can we take a picture together, just so that if anything happens I have some kind of proof" Baekhyung asked.
Moon chuckled a little but accepted non the less, Jungkook was sitting on the side as they took the picture, he could barely keep his eyes open.
Finally after feeling that he was convinced, Baekhyung handed Jungkook over and Moon had sneak through the back door so no one see him. It was a bit harder this time with Jungkook , but they managed to get to the car unnoticed.
"Are we going to my parents?" Jungkook asked while Moon drove, "in this state?" they will kill me, we will go to my place" Moon replied.
Jungkook laid back in his seat, he was sad, Moon had notice, he was drunk but still said and he looked like he had been crying.
The drive was quite after Jungkook fell asleep. He had never seen him this drunk, tipsy, sure but not this. Maybe he decided to have some fun today, but he still felt like there was more to it.
Thirty minutes later they arrived at his place, he woke Jungkook up.
"Are we here?" Jungkook asked half asleep, " yes, come on" Moon replied as they walked to the elevator.
Once inside, Moon helped Jungkook get into bed, "here, if you feel like throwing up" he said putting a bucket on the side of the bed.
Jungkook smiled at him, but then his lower lip started to quiver as tears filled his eyes.
"Why- why did he leave me again?" Jungkook asked, his eyes pleading for answers, "what did I do wrong, why would he leave me again" he broke into sobs
Moon quickly got into the bed and held him, "hey, you did nothing wrong okay, you did nothing wrong" he said trying to comfort his friend.
Jungkook cried with so much pain that it hurt Moon to have to see him in that state, he kept repeating that he had done nothing wrong but it didn't seem to be helping.
"Why, did you leave again?" Jungkook repeated as he slowly dozed off.
Moon stayed with him for a while until he was certain that Jungkook was completely fast asleep.
Jungkook had told him about Taehyung, but he always felt like there was more to the story that he had shared, and he was okay with it, Taehyung had been gone for the past five years and everything was fine, Jungkook was fine, but then he showed up with no warning and decided to leave the same way.
Jungkook had not spoken about it, but it affected him and even though he said that Taehyung was a good person and he did nothing wrong, seeing his friend in this stated because of him made him dislike the guy.
But all he can do for now is be there for him.
