Lexi came at one. When she meant one, she meant one. Just as the clock switched from 12:59 to 1:00, there was a knock on the door. Mitch unlocked and she walked in a step without greeting him.

"Where's Alek?" She asking looking around the small place that he had learned to call home.

"Work," Mitch said almost too sharply. The longer she stood in this door frame the more anxious he got.

"Oh," She had a sly smile on her face. "Brilliant." Although Mitch should of probably been worried, he wasn't, he was more worried about the fact that the door was open, not closed, and how it was unlocked, so when he should of been worried about what she was doing he more than happy simply being content he could finally lock the door.

"That's mine." Mitch said when she held up a sweater. She frowned and looked over at him.

"Dang, you have good taste." She laughed at herself and kept searching.

"What are you doing?" He finally asked.

"My big brother owes me money, so every once in a while I take some stuff that I think should make up for all the money I loaned him." Mitch frowned and nodded.

"Okay, just, um, don't take my stuff please." She smiled, a real smile this time.

"Listen honey," She sat down next to Mitch. "Don't tell Alek, but he's still way in debt, I pretend to take enough so that he had paid it off, but really I only take half as much, maybe less, I act the way I do to try and not bring up suspicions. So yeah, I'm probably going to take a T-Shirt and lamp or something. The T-shirt because I need a T-Shirt and the lamp well so it looks like I took more than I did." Mitch nodded actually shocked at her confession. Lexi smiled and got up from the couch to continue looking around.

She did end up taking a T-Shirt and a lamp, Mitch waved goodbye to her before locking the door again.

He was alone. He picked up the book he had been reading and had just gotten into it when there was a knock at the door.

Mitch checked the clock. Alek wasn't due home for another two hours and Lexi had already come. Mitch pattered across the cool wooded floor to the tiny window. He peeked out and only saw the silhouette of the person at the door. If he wanted to know who was there he would have to answer the door. Mitch considered it for a second before coming to the conclusion that there was no way he was opening that door. He'd have too give his friends a special knock so he'd know it was safe to open the door for them.

"Hello?" He heard Alek say after a few hours. Mitch dropped his book, the person was still  out there? He couldn't make out what the other person was saying, just low murmuring.

"No, I do not know where you could find him sorry," Murmuring. "Yeah, ever since he moved out of the hotel I haven't heard from him." If Mitch was still holding his book he would of dropped it again. They were talking about him.  After more talking Mitch heard the door creak open and Alek walked in, locking it again.

"Mitch," He said his voice low. "It was the man who was chasing you when we first met."

"He found me?"

Alek gave a grim nodded and Mitch's heart dropped.

"Thank god I didn't open that door."
