Confrontation

Elijah walked into the grill to see Nicole and Matt waiting by the front door for him. "Ready to go?" He asked buttoning his suit jacket. They both nodded at Elijah. "Well let's go then. I came in the SUV so we'll have room for most of your things."  He said trying to ease Nicole's stress. Nicole nodded. "Me and Jeremy are gonna get the rest of her stuff tomorrow." Matt said to Elijah. Elijah nodded. "Thank you for your help Matthew. You're a good friend to my niece. She needs friends right now." Elijah said as Nicole smiled at Matt in gratitude. "She's been there for me more times than I can count; and I'll be there for her no matter what." He said wrapping an arm around her shoulder. Nicole felt tears stinging her eyes again. "Okay before I loose it again, can we go?" She asked taking a deep breath. "Of course." Elijah said. They all exited the Grill, got in Elijah's car and drove to the Lockwood Estate.

        They pulled up to the house seeing both Carol and Tyler's cars in the driveway. Nicole sighed loudly "Here goes nothing." She said taking deep breaths. They all got out of the car. Elijah grabbed Nicole's hand and gave it a squeeze to calm her down. Matt rang the doorbell. Nicole saw Tyler coming through the glass of the front door. "Oh boy." Nicole said quietly. "Just let me do the talking and stay calm." Elijah whispered. Tyler opened the door and frowned when he saw them. "What do you want?" He asked crossing his arms glaring at all three of them. "What do I want?! Are you kidding me?! I'm you're goddamn sister and I live here you dick!" She raised her voice at him. She finally exploded. Tyler was taken back by her outburst. Matt was wide eyed but was smirking at he same time. Elijah just had his head down. "Nicole as much as I understand your frustration, you do not need to unleash your father's temper onto your brother." Elijah said pulling her behind him. Nicole just stared at her uncle with a confused look. "Tyler please we came to talk. Is your mother here?" Elijah asked. Tyler motioned for them to come in. Elijah walked in thanking Tyler; Nicole just stormed past them, and Matt gave Tyler a hard glare as he entered.

        Nicole didn't want to wait anymore. "Carol!" She yelled up the staircase. She heard a door shut and saw Carol on the top of the stairs. "Nicole, Tyler what's going on?" Carol asked coming down the stairs. As Nicole was about to speak, Elijah stepped in front of her. "Carol, If we could have a moment please?" He said being his level headed, formal self. "Of course Elijah. May I ask what this is about?" Carol asked looking at Elijah and Nicole. "This is about my niece's happiness and well being." Elijah said gesturing to Nicole. Carol looked confused. "I don't understand what you mean." Carol said looking lost. "It means I'm moving out because your son has been treating me like crap and ignoring me ever since he found out Klaus was my father." Nicole interjected angrily. Carol turned to Tyler shocked. Tyler had a look of guilt on his face. Nicole laughed."You had no idea, did you?" She said in realization. Carol was at a loss for words. "Nicole, honey, I am so sorry. I had no knowledge of this. Tyler said you had an argument and you told him not to speak to you." Carol said trying to apologize.

        Nicole turned, walked over to Tyler and slapped him across the face. "Are you kidding me?! I've been your sister and best friend since you were 2! And now you cut me out of your life all because you don't approve of who my birth father is?!" Nicole yelled at him. Tyler was still in shock that she slapped him. "Well news flash Ty: You can't pick your family!" She said furious at him. Tyler glared at her. "And while we're discussing family
and lying to your mom; did you ever tell her about how your dad used to beat you?!" Nicole said watching Tyler go white with fear. Carol gasped and walked over to them. "Tyler is that true?" Carol raised her voice at him now. Tyler glared at Nicole. "Yes, Carol it's true. I witnessed it multiple times." Nicole said through gritted teeth. Carol stepped between Nicole and Tyler. "Why didn't you tell me?" She asked cupping his face. Tyler couldn't look at his mother. If looks could kill; there'd be a giant hole in the floor. "He didn't think you'd believe him." Nicole said sadly. Elijah pulled Nicole away from Tyler and Carol. "Carol I'm sorry for Nicole's behavior but she's been very stressed and distraught for the past few weeks. We're just going to grab some clothes of hers; then tomorrow Matthew and Jeremy Gilbert will get everything else." Elijah said trying to ease the tension. Matt just stood there awkwardly.

        Carol turned back to Nicole and hugged her. "I'm going to miss you but I made you a promise that if you ever did find your family I would let you go." She said as she pulled out of the hug. "Thank you for letting me have a daughter." She said as they both started crying. "Thank you for being a great mom. I'll come visit as much as I can. I promise." Carol nodded and pulled Nicole into another hug. "I hope you'll be happy with them. Take good care of her please Elijah?" Elijah nodded and smiled. Nicole pulled out of the hug and looked at Tyler who had tears in his eyes. She walked over to him and hugged him. He couldn't help but hug her back. "I love you Tyler. I don't care if you hate me. You'll always be my brother." Tyler held back his tears.

With that Nicole went upstairs to her room. She swung her door open to see Hayley sleeping in her bed. "Crap." She said hoping not to wake her. Hayley opened her eyes. "Hey!" She said stretching. "Sorry Hayley, I didn't know you were still here." Nicole went over to her and hugged her. "So tell me; you a wolf too?" Nicole asked. Hayley stared at her in shock. "How... Ty said not to tell you." Hayley said confused. Nicole smiled. "Well I found out. So you are?" Nicole asked again. Hayley smiled. "Yeah." Hayley said playfully rolling her eyes. Nicole nodded. "Cool. Well I'm gonna get my stuff and let you go back to sleep." Nicole said standing up from her bed. Nicole hugged Hayley again, then went to her closet. She got most of her clothes and bathroom products. Tyler helped her carry her stuff down to the car and put her stuff in the trunk. "I'm sorry." He said quietly holding back tears. "It didn't have to be this way Ty. You drove me to this. I can't live in a house where no one's talking to me." She said sternly. He stared at anything but her and nodded. "When you're ready to talk to me again, I'll be ready." Nicole said with a slight smile. Elijah came over to them. "Nicole, are you ready?" He asked looking between her and Tyler. Nicole looked at her Uncle and nodded. Tyler gave Elijah a cold look and went inside pushing past carol so hard he knocked her into Matt. "Matthew, let's get going." Elijah said.
        Matt ran and got into the car. Nicole waved to Carol as they drove off. "You alright?" Elijah asked looking at Nicole. He wasn't sure how she was feeling. Her expression was solemn and unreadable. "I will be." She said with courage. Matt could see how exhausted she was. "Nic, I called Jeremy while you were getting your stuff, he's gonna cover your shift today so you can go home and rest." Nicole turned in her seat to protest but Elijah interrupted her. "Thank you Matthew that was very considerate of you. Please do extend our thanks to Jeremy when you see him today." He said giving Nicole a 'let it be' look. Nicole pouted in her seat when she realized she had no say in this. "Nicole isn't there something you'd like to say to your friend?" Elijah asked with a smile. Nicole rolled her eyes. "Thank you Matt, you REALLY didn't have to do that." Nicole said annoyed. Matt just smiled. Elijah chuckled under his breath. "Just like your father." Nicole couldn't help but smile at that comment. She really was a Mikaelson.
