The party is over and the courtyard is deserted. Klaus and Marcel stand alone on a balcony and clink their drinks against each other. Marcel downs his in one gulp. "How much did Cami see?" Klaus puts a hand on his shoulder. "She just saw an argument, mate. It's nothing you can't fix. You really like her, don't you?" Marcel smiled. "I like that she's not a part of any of this. Sometimes it's good to see the world the way the humans do." Klaus frowned. "I am sorry about Thierry, you know? I can tell he was a good friend." Marcel gritted his teeth and held back tears of anger. "I made him what he was. Obviously, my trust was misplaced." Klaus pretended to feel bad. "Doesn't make it easier." Marcel nodded. "You saved me tonight. I guess I owe you one. You asked for your brother back. Seems like the least I can do."

At Rousseau's; Cami drinks a pint at a bar, still wearing her gala finery. Klaus enters the place and sits next to her. "Cami..." She cuts him off. "Don't even try it. I get the bro code. You're here to smooth things over for your friend. It's very nice of you, but..." Klaus nods. "But you've been hurt before, and you aren't taking any more chances." Cami just stares at him. "Something like that. The guy I saw tonight? Not the guy I thought he was. And if he can turn on a dime like that..." Klaus feels for her. "Sounds like more than just a broken heart. Someone broke your trust. Camille, the brave bartender." Cami and Klaus stare at each other. Cami swallows, looking like she might lean in, but Klaus blinks and breaks the moment. "I'm sorry... But I need you to give Marcel another chance." Cami clears her throat, looking both embarrassed and disappointed. "Wow. I totally misread that." Klaus shook his head. "No. You read it quite well, but we all have our roles to play." He stares her in the eyes and compels her. "You went to Marcel's. You danced. You feel badly that he had a row with his friend, but otherwise, all you remember is that it was perfect."

Later at the Mansion; Rebekah sits at the piano, lazily playing a scattering of notes. Nicole is slumped on the couch in sweats with a beer in hand. Klaus enters and they sit up. "Well, tonight was an epic failure." Nicole raised her beer. "Preach sister!" Klaus smirked. "On the contrary, ladies. Tonight was a masterpiece." Nicole narrowed her eyes at her father. "Are you on crack?" Rebekah continued. "Katie died before Sophie could complete the spell." Klaus nods. "Oh, I'm well aware. I killed Katie." Nicole and Rebekah are appalled. "Are you kidding me?!" Nicole yelled. "You did what?!" Rebekah asked. Klaus smiled. "There's no way our little suicide witch wasn't gonna try and take out Marcel with her. I saved his life, and in doing so, I now have him exactly where I want him."

Nicole was pissed. "Sophie trusted you." Rebekah cut her off. "I trusted you! Against all my better instincts." Klaus is offended. "Wake up! Both of you! The witches are on no one's side but their own. This girl, Davina? That's all they want, and when they have her, what do you think happens then, a truce? Of course not. They will use Davina's power against all of us." Nicole averted her eyes to the floor knowing her father was right. "Even if you're right, the plan was to find Elijah, and you've failed us." Rebekah stated. Klaus glared at her. "You always did lack faith. By protecting Marcel, I've cemented his trust, so much so that he's agreed to return Elijah to us. And when the time is right, when he has told me everything I need to know about Davina, I will have her for myself."

Rebekah was disgusted at her brother. "I have all the faith in the world that you'll get what you want, Nik. You always do, no matter what is costs the rest of us." Rebekah takes a sip of bourbon, then sets her glass on the piano and leaves. Nicole just stares at her father. "I hope you know what you're doing because if you're looking for a fight; you're gonna lose." Klaus just watched as she chucked her beer at the wall and ran upstairs.

Once in her room she saw her phone on the bed lit up. She ran to it and saw it was a text from Caroline. [Hey call me. Can't explain everything through text.] Nicole dialed Caroline and she told her everything that was going on. That's when she realized how much she missed her friends and how much she wanted to be there to help them. She hung up with Caroline and called Marcel. He didn't answer. "Marcel; I need to use magic. I need to start lessons with Davina. As soon as possible." She was going to kill Marcel; Davina; Sophie; anyone who stood in her way. She was going to use her magic and protect her family. No matter what the cost.
