Life with the Mikaelson's was getting a hell of a lot easier now that Nicole was fully moved in. Nicole loved her home and her family. She felt peace knowing she was where she belonged. It's been almost a month and things have really started to fall into place. When Nicole first moved in Rebekah saw how much stuff Nicole owned and told Klaus that Nicole really needed a custom room. Klaus then hired a contractor and had Nicole design her own room. He expanded her entire bedroom; combining her room and one of the many guest bedrooms. He had the contractor work up a spacious walk in closet, spa like en suite, and added anything else Nicole asked. Klaus also hired a interior designer to decorate Nicole's room.
Since Nicole couldn't live in her room and she didn't get the internship; Klaus decided they were going to take a family road trip all over America. First stop was New York. They stayed at the Plaza Hotel. Nicole and Klaus saw Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera. She went shopping with Rebekah. Nicole's favorite part was going to Strawberry Fields in Central Park with Elijah; they bonded over they're love for the Beatles. And on the last day they just saw all the sights and went paid their respects at the World trade Center memorial by placing flowers and donating to the foundation.
Next stop on the map was Salem, Massachusetts. Nicole was always fascinated by the witch trials. And being friends with Bonnie made her even more intrigued. She saw the museums, the graves and just explored the town of Salem. After that was Philadelphia; they saw the Liberty Bell, The Eastern State Penitentiary, The Franklin Institute and the Philadelphia Art Museum where Rocky ran. Since they were in Pennsylvania they hit Hershey Park & Gettysburg. They hit Washington D.C. next. They visited the White House, the grave of Nicole's favorite president; John F. Kennedy, The Smithsonian, and The Lincoln Memorial. Then Myrtle & Virginia Beach.
The next stop was Orlando. Nicole had never been to Disney World. Klaus was not too happy about this part of the trip. Nicole told Elijah she wasn't going anywhere unless he wore normal clothes. So of course he had no choice. You could see Klaus & Elijah's moods change the minute they entered. The happiness was overwhelming. Little kids smiling, the parades, the different shops, it was a whole new experience for all of them. Rebekah & Nicole got matching Mickey ears. Klaus & Elijah enjoyed the Disney cuisine. They went on all the rides. At the end of the night they were getting ready to leave when Nicole overheard about the fireworks show. They agreed to stay for that before going to the hotel. It was the most magical thing Nicole had ever seen. She grabbed her father's hand and squeezed. He pulled her into a one arm hugged and kissed her forehead. She now understood why everyone loves Magic Kingdom. Tomorrow they would hit Epcot then Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Then they would head home to Mystic Falls.
