Nicole stopped following Hayley to enjoy New Orleans. The music, the art, the witches. She felt like she belonged here. She found a man painting and stopped to watch him. She felt a presence behind her. She felt his eyes burning into her. She turned to see Marcel. "Can I help you Marcellus?" Marcel stepped next to her. "Well, Nicole, honestly I just wanna know what your deal is." Nicole furrowed her brow. "What is that supposed to mean?" Marcel looked at her. "Who are you Nicole?" He tried compelling her. "Compulsion, really? I'm Elijah's ward; you think I don't know about vervain?" Marcel was pissed at her snarky tone. "I should've figured. my bad. Seriously though; who are you?" Nicole tilted her head and narrowed her eyes. "Why do you wanna know so bad?" Marcel smirked. "There's something about you; you're not human but I can't pin point what you are." Nicole was full of fear but she rolled her eyes to convince Marcel that what he was saying didn't bother her. "You're very wrong Marcel. You don't know me at all. If you want to; let me know. Klaus trusts you. If you give me your word not to harm me; I think we could be allies." Marcel smirked. "Are you negotiating with me?" Nicole smiled innocently. "Yeah I am because in the grand scheme of things; I have the upper hand when it comes to what Niklaus is up to. You never know when me living with him could come in handy." Marcel could tell what she was getting at. "Are you offering to be an informant?" Nicole nodded. "As long as I have your word that no harm will come to me or Elijah by your or any of your vampires' hands." Marcel had to think about this. "Ok, we'll have a test run first." Nicole shrugged. "Fine. What do you have in mind?" Marcel smiled. "Find out why Rebekah is in town and if she killed my 6 guys last night." Nicole laughed. "Rebekah is here to find Elijah. He's not in the house; nor is his coffin or dagger. And yes she did kill them. She said they attacked her first." Marcel was impressed at how much she really did know. He offered his hand. "Allies?" Nicole smiled and shook his hand. "Allies."
