LAFAYETTE CEMETERY

Sabine has finished the locator spell on Davina and turns to Elijah. "Okay. Okay. She's somewhere near the river. I can't be more specific." Sabine says. "It's something. It's a start." Before Elijah can go leave to search for Marcel and Davina, Sophie comes into the tomb looking panicked. "It didn't work. I tried to consecrate her and absorb her magic, but there's nothing there." Sophie says worried. "I don't understand. A witch's magic is infused in her bones until consecrated." Elijah says confused. "Well, then someone's already taken it, because there's nothing there." Sophie huffs in aggravation. "There has to be another way." Elijah says determined. "There is no other way." Sabine says defeated. "Unless you know of some super-powerful dead witch whose bones were never consecrated, it's over." Sophie says dripping with disdain. Elijah smiles in realization. "There is someone else actually.... our mother."

MIKAELSON COMPOUND

Elijah has gathered Nicole, Rebekah and Klaus to the living room to discuss his newest idea to finish the Harvest ritual. "Esther?! Are you kidding me?!" Nicole yells. Rebekah rolls her eyes. "It's taken one thousand years, but you've finally gone mad. Our own mother?" Rebekah asks. "Yes, our beloved mother, who Niklaus has affectionately placed in a coffin in his basement... not daggered, but quite dead." Elijah said staring at Nicole. "This family gets weirder every freaking day." Nicole says rubbing the bridge of her nose. "Well, she did try to kill us all." Klaus says smirking. "Well, I say we put her to use and put her to rest once and for all. Now if we bury our mother on land owned by one of her descendants, she becomes a New Orleans witch, and we, as her family, share in that ancestral magic." Elijah says. "We're vampires, Elijah. We can't practice magic. Or own property, for that matter." Rebekah says trying to talk some sense into Elijah.

Nicole realizes what Elijah is getting at. "Yes. With regard to practicing magic; That's where Sophie comes in. After we bury our mother, we can channel all her power to Sophie. I would've suggested Nicole but it needs to be a New Orleans witch. Only hitch is, as conduits of our mother's magic, we need to participate in the Harvest. And, as for owning property, not all of our mother's descendants are dead..." Everyone looks at Nicole. "Oh no." Nicole says overwhelmed. "Nicole." Klaus says looking at his daughter. "Yes, Nicole. The parish Tax Assessor's office is just steps outside of the Quarter. Nicole holds the title to the plantation once she signs the deed. So, if we bury our mother there, and we consecrate those grounds, we can finish the Harvest ritual." He hands Nicole the deed.

Klaus looks at the deed with Nicole. "You're a bit of a mad genius, Elijah. Count me in." he says smirking. "Am I the only one thinking? Our mother was the most powerful witch in history. If we bury her, we hand that power to our enemies to use against us." Rebekah says trying to talk the brothers out of their plan. "Given our circumstances, I hardly see that we have a choice, Rebekah." Elijah states. Rebekah sighs in frustration. "I don't know why I bother. You two will just do what you want anyway." Rebekah said defeated. "No. Our decision must be unanimous." Elijah says looking at Rebekah. "This is not a democracy." Klaus says angry. "You're quite right. This is family." Elijah says looking at Nicole and Rebekah. They stop talking when they hear the sound of a powerful rain storm that is pouring down on the house. "Water. The next sign." Nicole says worried. "Rebekah?" Elijah asks. "Kill a demon today, face the devil tomorrow. Count me in." Rebekah says giving in. "Nicole?" Klaus asks looking at Nicole. "Always and forever right? I'm in." Nicole bent down and signed the deed. She handed it to her father. "Well, this is no family reunion without our mother. I'll fetch her." Klaus says smirking and leaves.
