Rebekah had a special surprise for Nicole in the backyard but she wanted Nicole to unpack and enjoy her new room before hitting her with another big reveal. Rebekah knew Nicole loved to read, write and garden; so Rebekah decided to make use of their 3 acres of land and have the property turned into an amazing outdoor living space. She even created an area for their annual bonfires. She couldn't wait to show her. She actually went through Nicole's paintings and found one of a 'secret garden'; she used it as a blueprint for one area of the backyard. The rest of the yard was concocted by gardening books, home decorating magazines and HGTV by Rebekah. She hired the best landscapers she could find.

Reb:"Hey Nik, Elijah, Nicole! Come down here! I have a surprise!"
Eli: "What is it Rebekah? You don't have a Salvatore captive again do you?"
Nic: "What?!"
Reb: "No, I do not. It's better than that."
Nik: "Oh perhaps it is both Salvatore's hanging by bear traps."
Nic: "Dad! Oh my God that's horrible and gross!"
Nik: "Yes love it is but your Auntie Bex here has already done that."
Nic: "Tell me he's joking..."

No one said a word. "I don't wanna know. What's the surprise?" Rebekah smiled. "Follow me." They all followed behind Rebekah to the back doors of the house. "Ok Nicole has to close her eyes. Nik?" Klaus put his hands over his daughter's eyes. "Is this really necessary?" Rebekah grabbed her hand. "Yes, now come on!" They all reached the doors as Rebekah held up a finger to her mouth telling everyone to shush. "Okay Nicole, consider this a welcome to the family gift. One, two, three! Open!"

Nicole opened her eyes and was in complete awe of what she saw before her. "Rebekah! This is amazing! Thank you!" Nicole ran and hugged her aunt. Right as you walked out there vines all up the walls of the mansion. There was a small fountain with a table and chairs near it. When you looked to the left you saw a wall waterfall/fountain with lounge chairs across from it and lights everywhere.

"Come. There are many areas of this garden. First stop, your painting." Nicole furrowed her brow unaware of what Rebekah meant by that. They walked till they reached two archways surrounded by wildflowers. Nicole gasped as she saw her painting in reality. "Rebekah how did you do this?!" "Well you left your box of paintings in the parlor and I found this one. It was a perfect landscape. And now that painting is hanging in the dining room." Nicole had tears in her eyes. "Thank you Rebekah." "Uh uh. We have much more to see."

With that they went to the next area and saw a pergola swing. "I figured since you love to read, where else would be a perfect place to read but on a swing, outside." Nicole went and sat on the swing. "Come on! Sit with me!" Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah sat with her. She leaned her head on her fathers shoulder and grabbed her Uncles hand. "How did I get so lucky? ever since my mom left me I wondered if I'd ever find her or my dad. Praying they'd be a normal, cookie cutter family. Gotta say having vampires for family is so much better." They all chuckled at that. Rebekah jumped up. "Okay you love us and we love you but we have more to see. Let's go!"

Next was over a hill. Once they reached the bottom of the hill they turned and saw a rock wall decorated by vines and flowers. It was a circular wall and inside the half circle was a fire pit and chairs. "Annual bonfire?" Elijah asked. "Family tradition. I figured we needed a special area for it." Nicole was confused. "What tradition?" All the siblings looked at each other and smiled. "Well, we have our annual first bonfire of the bonfire season. While the fire is burning we write down one wish and throw it into the fire for good luck." Nicole smiled. "Well that's better than what we did at the school bonfires." They all laughed and Klaus was rolling his eyes. "Anymore surprises?" "Just one. Follow me." They reached the back of the yard and came upon a gorgeous lit area with lanterns, twinkle lights and chairs with bright colored pillows.

Nic: "This is awesome!"
Eli: "This is whole garden is brilliant Rebekah."
Nik: "Very well done little sister."
Reb: "Thank you. I had fun doing this. I may continue doing this professionally."
Nic: "Rebekah, you should! You took my painting and matched it to a tee and made it real! I've never seen anyone do that."
Reb: "Well, I'm just glad you're happy with it."
Nic: "I cannot wait to light our first bonfire as a family in our new spot. Thank you Bekah."
Reb: "Anything for my niece."
