THE DOCKS
Later, Josh drives his car to the docks, where he meets Rebekah and Marcel. He lowers his car's window just low enough to talk to them without getting burnt by the sunlight. "What do you got, Josh?" Marcel asks. "What do I got? Klaus wants me to steal some dagger from you. It's a test, okay? He knows I'm working for you, I'm sure of it." Rebekah becomes angry. "That bastard wants to dagger us again! He deserves everything he's gonna get." Marcel turns to Josh. "Relax. If he knew, he would've ripped your spine out through your nose by know." Josh frowns. "Oh, great. Now I feel totally at ease! What am I supposed to do?" Marcel puts a hand on Josh's shoulder; reassuringly. "You tell him you searched high and low but you couldn't find the dagger..." Josh shakes his head and mutters. "God, I'm so dead."
Marcel continues. "...Then, you tell him you saw I had it on me, and if he wants it he'll have to come and get it. Which won't be easy, as I'm paranoid and I've beefed up my posse."
AN AUTO GARAGE
Nicole walked up to her father. "You know I'm getting much better at locator spells." She smirked at her father. "What are you doing here?" She walked to him. "I figured you may need back up. I am a hybrid in my own way. And I have a gun." He smirked at her confidence. She was becoming more like him everyday. He didn't want her to become violent like him but he also wanted her to be tough enough to defend herself. "So why are we here?" Nicole asked. "Waiting for Joshua and the daggers." Nicole nodded. "You're gonna dagger Rebekah aren't you?" Klaus looked at her. "Did you or did you not just tell me she's trying to destroy me and that baby?" Nicole huffed in frustration. "This is all Marcel's doing. He's gotten under her skin. Ever since she came back to town he's been up her ass." She turned and started playing with one of the hair bands on her wrist. She was plucking it and letting it hit her skin. Klaus never saw her do that before. "Why are you doing that?" Nicole looks down realizing she's doing it. "Nervous habit." She lied. Klaus knew she was lying but didn't push the issue.
Josh reluctantly returns to the garage to meet Klaus and Nicole to pass on the information. "Right, so... Not doubting your mad-vampire-skills of destruction or anything, but Marcel's on red alert. Surrounded by, like, an army. You're totally boned. Unless..." Klaus furrowed his brow. "Unless what?" Josh looks around him. I overheard him arguing with Diego. Apparently, he's clearing out the compound tonight for a date or something. That's where Marcel will be." Nicole rolled her eyes and started pacing in frustration. "I told you they were up to something!" Klaus huffs in anger. "When I run New Orleans, there will be a permanent daylight ring in it for you, Joshua. For services rendered on to your true king." Klaus smiles. "Cool." Josh returns a smile. Nicole just stands and watches. She can tell Josh is on board with Marcel and Rebekah. Klaus looks at Nicole; she looks at Josh and she shakes her head. Klaus understands he's not on their side. He turns back to Josh. "But, if you ever betray me, I will make sure you spend the rest of your eternal life in exquisite agony, wishing for a merciful death." Klaus smiles and pats Josh on the shoulder before they leave for the compound. Nicole walks past Josh and glares at him. "Adiós, Klaus." Josh smirked watching them leave.
