"I feel nervous," Kelsey laughed as she looked out the window. I looked at her as she saw the lights passing.
"I also miss my kids," she sighed and looked at me, a pout as her blue eyes watered.
I chuckled, grabbing her hand as I kept the other on the wheel.
"It's been 15 minutes, Kels. We will survive, plus, our moms are probably having tons of fun with the twins," I tried to comfort her, squeezing her hand a bit as I turned on the old familiar street before coming to a red light.
"We are going to come back and our kids are going to know how to walk and do maths, watch," she said as she looked intensely at the stores before her eyes widened.
"Oh my gosh, that's Amanda," she pointed and I nosily followed her finger (good thing our windows were tinted).
And yeah, Kels was right, there was Amanda, in front of her dads boxing business, eating the face of this tall buff must be boxer guy.
"Wow, she doesn't change does she," I laughed, and Kelsey moved closer to the window, trying to see better.
"Seems like neither does her dad, there's still an old poster of you in the front window," she bursts out laughing, and I rose an eyebrow.
"That's just weird. They are obsessive people," I said before I got a honk behind me and I jumped, pressing the gas as I focused on the green light.
"Why you so obsessed with me... Everybody knowwwssssssa," Kels began to swing her arms around like a maniac as she sang, and I laughed.
I turned our little street and wallah, there was our high school.
"Oh my gosh, it's so ugly," I said and she smiled.
"But it's so ugly it's cute," her eyes watered again.
Ever since the twins were born, Kelsey had become this very sensitive thing. Always crying. But it gave me every more the reason to comfort her, which I loved. I loved her so much.
I'll literally never get tired of saying that.
"I heard Franco still lives around here," she chuckled and I pursed my lips.
"Yeah, we should go stop by so I can knock his teeth out again for ever touching my girl like that," I growled and Kels looked at me.
"You're so possessive," she said oddly. I watched her eyebrows furrow, before she bit her lip.
"It's pretty hot," she winked and I rolled my eyes, laughing as I parked.
We got off and I took her hand, kids were still there, it was only around 5pm and sports programs were still running.
"Oh man, so many memories," Kels squeezed my hand, "and so many black outs," she laughed and so did i.
I looked around for a second, wondering why the hell she would want to go back to this place. It was full of so much pain in our relationship, so much drama...
We sat down on the grass for a second in silence and Kels set her head on my chest, my hand pushing her closer to me.
Then it hit me.
"This is where we started,"
"This is where we had started"
We both said. I rose an eyebrow as she looked up and I looked down.
I smiled and so did she, and her blue eyes never failed to make me realize how beautiful she was to me.
"What if we could do it all over again, would you?" I asked curiously, randomly. She moved towards me, snuggled in between my legs and I wrapped my arms around her, setting my chin on her head.
"Of course, if it brings us back to here, then of course," she said, before looking up at me, her eyes scanning me.
"Would you?" She asked and I nodded.
"Without a doubt," I laughed as I continued to see the new kids run their laps around the track.
She was still staring at me and I couldn't hold back a smile.
"Liam?"
I looked down at her and her hand wrapped around my neck, pushing me down to let our lips meet so slowly, yet so lovingly. A grin formed as I pushed her closer, and she giggled, pulling away.
"I hate you," she whispered playfully with a smile.
I was taken back for a second, before it hit me, and life just got that much more nostalgic. Bringing us back to the moment in our lives where we had thought we had felt the complete opposite.
"The feelings mutual," I chuckled before pulling her up for another kiss.
